Can I keep my current phone number?
Yes. In most cases you can keep your current phone number. You'll be able to
check if your number can be transferred using the pricing page or you can reach
out to a member of our team and we will do a portabilty check for you! If your
number is transferable, we'll help you bring it over to SkyPBX. And because
transfers usually take about 7-10 business days, we'll give you a temporary
phone number so you can start using your SkyPBX service right away without any
downtime.
Can I install SkyPBX on my own server?
For our K-12 customers we get this question alot! The answer is YES. We have a
self-hosted version of SkyPBX that we can install on your server. This can be a
physical machine or virtual. We recommend an on premise server if you have a
large number of phones and/or our intercom system. So that if you are to lose
internet you will still be able to make and receive intercom calls.
Can I use my own VoIP Phones?
You sure can! As long as those phones support SIP, you can use them with SkyPBX.
We have a list of phones that we have tested and work with SkyPBX. If you have a
phone that is not on the list, we can still help you get it working and maybe
add it to our list of supported phones.
