MACOS YEARS RUNONLY APPLESCRIPTS TO DETECTION

Affected apps include: Safari, TextEdit, iPhoto, AppleScript Editor, iTerm.This
still always launches Safari, even though tell is inside an if false block after
the return statement! (But again, this is fine in AppleScript Editor.)īTW, this
behaviour isn't limited to Safari, but it also isn't universal: In fact, here's
another, madder, version with similar behaviour: on is_running(appName) So it
seems to me like the tell is what's causing Safari to be launched, but it
doesn't need to be actually executed, just present in the script.? For a while I
wondered if maybe this was just how tell is supposed to work, but since it
doesn't work like this in AppleScript Editor, I guess not. If you comment out
the tell / end tell lines, it behaves as I'd expect: if Safari is not running,
it doesn't launch it, and prints "Not running". Is this an osascript bug / known
issue? Or is it somehow intended behaviour for reasons I'm missing? Can anyone
get it to work as desired? (BTW I'm running OSX 10.7.5 I can't see how to get
osascript to report a version number). Note that it works as desired/expected
when run within AppleScript Editor. This is not the behaviour I desire or would
expect.

The problem: when I run this via the osascript command line utility, if Safari
is not running, it gets launched and the script reports "Running".

Stuff I only want executed if Safari is running goes here. Tell application

OATMEAL APPLE CRISP

Use it in place of white or brown sugar in baking recipes for an all-nautral
alternative to sugar. It is shelf stable and tastes like the pure essence of
maple. Granulated maple sugar is made from heating maple syrup to the hard ball
stage and then beating it while it cools. If you do not have it you can use
brown sugar instead. Maple sugar is a specialty ingredient you can buy at health
food stores, gourmet markets and online. Save the Golden Delicate for another
use. Amber rich is also a good choice if you cannot find dark. Dark Robust will
give the best maple flavor for baking. Maple SyrupĪs I mentioned above, maple
syrup is the key to making this apple crisp the perfect sweetness, naturally!
I’d recommend using pure maple syrup.

Read more about apple varieties in my guide to apples. Other varieties that
break down and become juicy are Winesap, Newton Pippin, Jonagold, and
Gravenstein. You can play around with the ratio depending on your variety, but I
would use at least ½ juicier apples to make sure you don’t end up with dry
filling. When you use a blend, you’ll get a filling that’s juicy, and chunky,
with a more interesting flavor profile. The reason you want to use a blend of
apple varieties is that some break down and get saucy when cooked (Macintosh)
and some hold their shape (Gala). ~Maurieįor this recipe, I used Macintosh
blended with another more firm variety such as Ginger Gold, Gala, and Honey
Crisp. 2d most common usage of the apples from our yard after only cider. Made
about twenty last year and everybody loved them. Just making it for the first
time this year. I have even been known to eat it for breakfast. Serve it for a
weekend afternoon treat or top it off with a scoop of ice cream and enjoy it a
la mode after a meal. Just talking about it is giving me all the fall feels! And
will fill the house with sweet spicy warmth and goodness as it bakes. But trust
me, you’ll love it too!Īpple crisp is even easier to make than a crumb topped
maple apple pie, and definitely easier than a healthy double crusted apple pie.
I know what you’re thinking, I wrote a whole cookbook about maple, so obviously
I am a bit biased. The maple gives this apple crisp a whole new level of

MONICA THE MEDIUM

She asks if she can deliver a message from his father who had passed away, and
gives him insanely accurate information about the passing of his father. I hope
they are frequent visitor to State College because they reveal Monica’s silly
side.Īt the party, “I spend most of my time with dead people, and dead people
don’t play flip cup.” While Monica learns the fine art of flip cup, her
attention is drawn to a handsome hunk, and a fatherly energy around him. I’m
close with my sisters, and I know from experience, if you want to get the honest
scoop, ask someone’s sisters.

We also meet Monica’s two sisters, who share Monica’s gorgeous tresses. The four
friends plan a Back-to-school BBQ at their house, which is waaaay nicer than any
college pad my friends had. She’s a student at Penn State, and has a group of
nice-seeming friends: Krista, her high school BFF and resident “Social Butterfly
” new roomie Ann, “The Thinker” aka “The Skeptic ” and Julie, “The Free Spirit.”

SQUIRREL HOUSE
