OUR STORY

If you ask Rachel and Andrew – “when did you know you he/she was the one?” Their
answers will be wildly different. Andrew will tell you “after a couple of dates”
and Rachel will try to convince you it took her a lot longer. For those of you
who know Rachel well, she is not shy about telling her side of the story.

Rachel and Andrew met shortly after Rachel started at Alvarez & Marsal in 2015.
They got introduced during Rachel’s first few weeks at the firm and started
working on a project together in late 2016. While working on this project
together, Rachel managed to come up with any and every excuse to avoid going on
a date. After many attempts, she finally gave in and agreed to go to the former
President’s inauguration in Washington DC. After the trip, Rachel swore her
relationship with Andrew was not going anywhere. Fast forward a couple months
and they went on a second date. Andrew got smarter and asked Rachel to go to
their favorite bar, Eight Row Flint. We will never know if the ranch waters
influenced Rachel’s judgment, but from that day on, their relationship was
different.

Andrew proposed on July 3rd, 2020 at Bergstom Vineyard in the Willamette Valley.
Bergstrom is the first vineyard they visited together in 2018. Since the
engagement, they have been lucky enough to work on projects in Houston, spent
time with family and friends, and enjoyed getting settled in their new house in
the Heights.
