WHAT IS NATIONAL READ ALOUD CHALLENGE?

National Read Aloud Challenge is a fantastic way to cultivate a love of reading
from an early age. This initiative involves using the Award Winning Fonetti app,
which offers a range of engaging stories and factual books.

By participating in this challenge, your child will build confidence in reading,
develop speech and comprehension skills, and enhance vocabulary - all while
having fun with the app over summer.





HOW WILL NATIONAL READ ALOUD CHALLENGE HELP CHILDREN?

Reading aloud is an effective method to accelerate and solidify learning.

Reading improves vocabulary and comprehension, boosting language skills.

Gaining confidence by setting and achieving goals is a powerful motivator!

CHALLENGE MILESTONES

REMEMBER, FOR THIS CHALLENGE CHILDREN NEED TO READ ALOUD OVER A 21 DAY PERIOD.
THIS READING CHALLENGE SETS SOME DISTINCT MILESTONES, INSPIRING CHILDREN TO
IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN THE ACTIVITY.

1ST MILESTONE

 * Complete 15 books.
 * Read for 60 minutes.
 * Win 30 stars.
 * Well done! You've completed the challenge, now aim for the Hall of Fame!

HALL OF FAME

 * With a little extra effort, your child can make it to the Hall of Fame.
 * Simply read 5 more books, spend an extra 20 minutes reading aloud, and
   collect 10 more stars.
 * Well done! You've achieved greatness and now have a rightful place among the
   legends in the Hall of Fame.
   


WHO QUALIFIES TO TAKE PART?

Children of all reading abilities between the ages of 5-11

Indian Nationals residing in India

Fonetti currently works on iOS and Android tablets*

*THE FONETTI APP IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON PHONES OR LAPTOPS
**ANDROID 5 LOLLIPOP OR NEWER WITH AT LEAST 500MB OF FREE STORAGE SPACE. ANY
