THREE PEAKS CHALLANGE

This August a select few will be braving the Three Peak Challenge in aid of
raising money for our charity.

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of
Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours.

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064
metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a
similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles

Follow our journey on social media from training to the actual walk in August.

We will also have our GoFundMe page set up to take donations.

WORKING WITH RESIDENTS TO ACHIEVE
A PATHWAY INTO WORK





We are currently working alongside residents in providing training in being able
to complete H&S qualification.

This enables them to apply for CSCS cards opening up avenues on building site
and much more in the construction sector in applying for work.

Residents have taken to the training well and the results are showing as pass
rates are on the rise.




CHILDREN'S CANCER RUN 2023

Children’s Cancer Run came from very small beginnings over 40 years ago. It
started through Kings School in Tynemouth, Tyne and Wear in order to raise money
for the North of England Children’s Cancer Research fund, as at the time, one of
their pupils was suffering from Cancer of the kidney.

Praxis has attended the children's cancer run for over 10 years now. staff and
residents take part together in raising funds for the charity it is a great day
out and a way for Praxis to raise money for another organisation in the local
area.

We will uploading our sponsor forms in due course and update our socail media
accordingly.

A LAMBERT - EX RESIDENT

Praxis helped me out when i was at my lowest point. I had no family to turn to
and found myself homeless. They gave me the support to gain my own tenancy and
even went as far as helping me move in and set up my home. Amazing people.

I was struggling massively with my mental health and addiction, as a result of
this I became homeless. housing advice put me forward to Praxis and my life has
done a total u turn. I'm still here and dealing with my addictions but
thankfully getting the correct help i need. I couldn't thank praxis enough.

My life changed within hours when i had to flee my home due to domestic
violence. I was thankfully housed in the mother and baby project with Praxis. I
could not of got through the last few months without the help of the staff. They
have helped me regain control of my life, from sorting benefits out for me and
getting me on the right track with my spirralling debt.
