ABOUT US

We are a small UK (South Wales) based charity with a BIG vision.

Obeying the first and second commandments to love God and love our neighbour, we
are expressing this in Bohol, Philippines by supporting families with kids with
cerebral palsy.


OUR TRUSTEES



Hi, I'm Neil Wilson and I'm the founder of Shekinah Cerebral Palsy Support and
also the chair of Trustees.



I am a retired teacher and now have a private tutoring business, teaching mostly
KS2 Maths and Reading.



I'm married to Jifelane who's from the Philippines and we have two children,
Isaac and Hannah.

 

Originally from Cardiff, I've been blessed to travel to many parts of the world
including Jamaica, USA and China. I don't have a lot of free time but when I do
I love to fish, play guitar and watch sport!




Hi, my name is Karen Brown and I'm delighted to be a trustee for Shekinah
Cerebral Palsy Support. It is a privilege to be involved.



I am married to Robert. We've been married for 30 years and we have two amazing
grown up daughters.

 

Areas of work have included admin work for small businesses, running a
pre-school and exam invigilating.

I now work part time for my church as a pastoral care co-ordinator - a rewarding
and challenging job - and run a small cake business.



In my spare time I like cuddling cats!






Hello, I'm Stephen Kitt. I have spent much of my working life teaching English
as a foreign language. I am well travelled and have also served as a Christian
missionary in India, the Caribbean and South America. I speak both Spanish and
Portuguese.



I currently live in Felpham on the south coast and have also lived in Chichester
and Portsmouth. I am a BA (Hons) graduate and also hold a Masters in Business
Studies.



I have known Neil for well over thirty years and am very happy to 'come on
board' with Shekinah as a trustee.




OUR PARTNERS



Jessa Marmol, the president of Cerebral Palsy Epilepsy Family Awareness Support
Group. Ph Inc  first contacted me when she saw our original Facebook page back
in 2017.

 

CPEFASG organise many events across the Philippines, especially day workshops
educating and training parents with cerebral palsy children. They also provide
specialist equipment such as neck braces, pushchairs and carriers.

 

We made a commitment back then to work together, once Shekinah CP Support was
'up and running'. In April 2024 we sponsored our first day workshop in the city
of Tagbilaran, Bohol. We are planning to carry on and develop this partnership
in other parts of the island and beyond.
