The JLG Electric Booms Generation 2 are designed to revolutionize the lifting
industry with industry-leading performance and efficiency. With a max platform
height of 60 feet and horizontal outreach up to 38 feet, these booms enable
operators to maneuver in tight spaces and tackle tasks at height with
unparalleled ease.

The boom lifts are powered by an efficient electric motor and feature a standard
110V AC outlet on the platform for added convenience. Dual lithium-ion batteries
with an onboard charger provide extended use and fast charging times, while a

YOUR ECO-FRIENDLY ROUGH TERRAIN ARTICULATED BOOM LIFT

ELECTRIC –POWERED ARTICULATED BOOM LIFT – LITHIUM-ION BATTERY

The EC Booms feature lithium-ion batteries with all their related advantages:

 * No maintenance – no watering required
 * No charge discipline required – opportunity charging is welcome and does not
   cause any degradation; you can, for example, charge for one hour during lunch
   break.
 * Long cycle life (4000 cycles with a maximum capacity drop of 20% at the end
   of life), this means: one set of batteries for the entire life of the machine
 * Higher energy density then any lead-acid battery technology: this means you
   pack more power in the same volume.
 * Faster charging – Lithium-ion cells can accept faster charge rate if compared
   with lead-acid.
 * Limited voltage drop during operation: as the lithium-ion battery discharges,
   the voltage remans almost constant for most of the discharge curve, meaning
   that the machine does not slow down as power gets consumed like with
   lead-acid batteries
 * Higher recommended Depth Of Discharge (DOD) than lead-acid batteries
 * Lower self-discharge rate (0.5-1% per month) than lead acid batteries (AGM:
   1-3%, FLA:10-15%)
 * Cold weather applications: lithium batteries perform better than lead-acid
   batteries in cold weather.


LIFEPO4  (LFP) BATTERIES

Something specific about the lithium batteries used in the EC Booms:

 * LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate), often referred to as “LFP”
 * The safest lithium-ion chemistry in the market.
 * Lower energy density than other lithium chemistries, grants the longest cycle
   life
 * Environment-friendly as the % of lithium is just 4-6% compared to other
   lithium chemistries
 * LFP is mostly made of Iron and Phosphate, both abundant in Earth’s crust
 * LFP does not contain Nickel nor Cobalt, two materials which have raised
   environmental concerns over their mining practice.
 * LFP batteries contain no O2 so, while they may vent some gases when shorted
   (smoke) , they won’t burn like a nickel battery (no flames)




EC BOOMS: LITHIUM BATTERY OPTIONS

EC Booms are offered with two battery configurations, based on the required
battery capacities:

10 kWh (STANDARD)  – One 51.2V /200 Ah lithium battery module 

-30 Work cycles @ 25°C

-24 Work cycles @ -10°C

20 kWh (OPTIONAL) –   Two 51.2V /200 Ah  lithium battery modules for a total of
51.2V /400Ah 

-60 Work cycles @ 25°C

-48 Work cycles @ -10°C




TESTED IN THE MOST CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENT

The EC Booms have been tested in the Arctic Circle winter at temperatures below
-10°C.




ELECTRIC –POWERED ARTICULATED BOOM LIFT – AC DRIVE

2Wheel Drive (STANDARD) – Two AC electric motors propel the rear axle. Front
wheel axle with no drive and 2 Wheel Steer. Front oscillating axle. This is the
option best suited to operate on prepared terrains (concrete, asphalt, compacted
and leveled white road, with limited gradients)

4Wheel Drive (OPTIONAL) – Four AC electric motors propel both axles. Front
oscillating axle for maximized tractability.

(This configuration is best suited to operate on challenging terrains featuring
rough terrain, mud, gradients)




BOOM & PLATFORM

Articulated boom design featuring:

 * Gravity-down tower and boom function for increased energy efficiency
 * 250 Kg (2 persons – outdoor rated) platform capacity
 * 360° non-continous rotation
 * Same function speeds as the diesel counterpart
