IPOH: The body of an eight-year-old boy who was feared drowned in Lubuk Gelap,
Simpang 4, Tanjung Malim, has been found.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Sabarodzi Nor
Ahmad said the victim, identified as Edward Grang Jenggut, was found near
Teratak River View on Tuesday (June 6) at 12.35pm.

"Our canine unit found the body that was caught between tree branches near the
riverbank, about 8km away from the location where he was last seen.

"The body has been handed over to the police for the next course of action," he
said in a statement Tuesday.

Edward Grang, from Sarawak, was reported to have gone missing while playing in
the waters on June 3 at about 5pm.

Sabarodzi said the search operation on Tuesday resumed at 9.30am, with the
participation of 49 officers and personnel, two dogs, and 12 divers.
