Commentary
Cotton Stuck at Limit Loss for Weekend - September 16, 2022 Rate hike fears,
poor CPI data, and general macro influence have cotton futures printing limit
losses through Friday’s midday. The May ’23 contract still has 12 points to the
downside before reaching a limit drop. The weekly Export Sales report showed
100,261 RBs of cotton was sold during the week... Corn Bounces into Midday -
September 16, 2022 Friday corn trading had the board back up by 1 1/2 to 2 1/2
cents @ midday in choppy activity. Blink and the price will be somewhere else!
USDA’s weekly Ethanol Report showed corn oil prices averaged 1-3 cents within
last week’s quotes from 71c to 77c per pound regionally.... Hogs Continuing
Higher into Weekend - September 16, 2022 Through Friday’s midday, the lean hog
futures are adding another 5 to 60 cents to the week’s rally. October would be a
net $3.53 higher from Friday to Friday if the market settles here. The USDA
National Average Base Hog price for Friday morning was $4.25 weaker to $90.74.
