MAP INFO
SkyBlock is one of the most popular minecraft maps ever created.
The concept behind the map is very simple; you spawn on a floating island and
must survive and complete challenges with the resources available to you.
This map was the original floating island type survival map, and a vast majority
of survival maps are based on it.
Important: If you die before sleeping in a bed, it may be impossible to spawn
back on the island.
MULTIPLAYER
If you would like to play Skyblock Multiplayer, feel free to check out the
Official Skyblock server, skyblock.net.
RULES
* Do not purposely jump off the island to regenerate your health.
* Do not make a bridge to the mainland.
* Play on at least easy difficulty.
CHALLENGES
1) Build a Cobble Stone generator.
2) Build a house.
3) Expand the island.
4) Make a melon farm.
5) Make a pumpkin farm.
6) Make a reed/sugarcane farm.
7) Make a wheat farm.
8) Make a giant red mushroom.
9) Craft a bed.
10) Make 64 stone brick's.
11) Make 20 torches.
12) Make an infinite water source.
13) Craft a furnace.
14) Make a small lake.
15) Build a platform 24 blocks away from the island, for mobs to spawn.
16) Make 10 cactus green dye.
17) Make 10 mushroom stew.

19) Craft 10 bookcases. (As of Minecraft 1.3, crafting bookcases is only
possible if cows spawn on your island)

i downloaded this map to play with my girlfriend on a server for just the 2 of
us, and it technically works properly exept for the fact that there is a sort of
"world border" of water around us just a few chunks away, visible from the main
island with normal world generation further.
is there a way to fix it?

How do I find a nether fortress? I really need blaze rods to make a villager
cleric and sell him all my rotten flesh from my gold farm and buy tons of
redstone.
i also survived 180 days, built a very big mob farm, made a villager farm to
breed them, built an iron farm and automatic crop farm (both powered by
villagers) and I have a long trade hall where I got the full enchanted diamond
gear (armor, sword, pickaxe and more with all possible enchants (excluding
thorns for armor)).

you need to locate a fortress in your seed then build a platform 19 x19 in that
area and they will spawn, although been having issues with it myself. you need

Make sure you still have grass blocks on your island, make a mob farm to get
bones from skeletons, use bonemeal on the grass to create the grass that drops

it seems I can no longer open this map up in the original version it was created
in. Tried to open it in 1.4.7, and it doesnt show up on the list. upon further
inspection, it seems the map was last altered with on 3/14/22 (3 months ago) in
version 1.16.4. I dont know who touched the file, or why. Was it to give it an
icon? Because it has that now, but I also cant play the map in the version it
was made in. I know I didnt alter the map since I downloaded a fresh copy of it
on a new PC just today.

The map was recently updated and converted to work on versions higher than
1.16.4+
We will provide the downloads for pre-1.16.4 on our site again soon, however in
the meantime, here is the direct link:

This is the original un-converted world from 2011 for Skyblock version 2.1 (with

I'm having a bit of an issue lately where my datapack suddenly stopped working.
Every time I try to enter the world, minecraft gives the message "Errors in the
currently selected datapacks prevented the world from loading. You can either
try to load it with only the vanilla datapack ("safe mode"), or go back to the
title screen and fix it manually." I've been playing this world for the past few
months and only got this message within the past week. I made a copy of the
world and flew around a bit and it seems like new chunks are loading, but with
the normal generation instead of skyblock generation. Any clue how I can fix
this?

If anyone has any issues with loading the game into new versions, just try
progressively loading them from the earlier versions. Like, load it into 1.7.10
first, then 1.8, etc.

U need 2 chickens to breed them. Chicken with mob on it counts like a other mob
which cant hatch eggs.

There is only 3 islands. Startong Island, Sand Island, and nether island.
