BREAST PUMPS AND THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

The Affordable Care Act (2010) requires most health insurance plans to cover the
cost of a breast pump as part of women’s preventative health services. These
rules apply to Health Insurance Marketplace plans, and all other private health
insurance plans, except for grandfathered plans. Visit Healthcare.gov to learn
more. Advanced Medical Homecare Supplies can help you in your breast pumping
needs. We offer a range of breast pumps, including Medela and Ameda among
others, some of which may be covered by your insurance plan. GIVE US A CALL! We
will verify your health insurance benefits and tell you which breast pumps are
covered by your plan. We can also apply your health insurance plan's allowable
coverage towards the purchase price of an upgraded breast pump package.
