OUR VICTORIES ARE FOUND IN CHOICE MOMENTS “Being a foster parent is the most rewarding and challenging experience of my life. To watch a child learn to trust a parent and see how that relationship effects their behaviors and how they view the rest of the world is incredibly fulfilling.” – Foster Parent, Amanda Martindale After their kids had grown and moved out of the home Kathy and Troy felt a need to open their home to children who needed a place to go. They take in teenage boys between the ages of 12 and 18. “When they walk in the door, they hate everyone and everything. We try to work through every issue we can with the boys. We love and care for them through those hard things and we see them change so much. Fostering is the hardest thing we’ve ever done, but it’s wonderful and we love them so much.” – Foster Parents, Troy and Kathy Whitney Michael and LaSonya have been serving children in therapeutic foster care for the past 16 years. They take care of their three children and the children placed in their home. They’ve had 70-80 foster children in the past 16 years and are still in contact with many of them. “We’ve always loved children, and we love it when we can help the child get back with their parents or get adopted. Being foster parents is challenging, but it has its rewards. You have to love them through the hard parts. You can’t give up when you have those bad days.” – TFC Parents, Michael and LaSonya Pope “As a foster parent, we not only care for the basic needs of a child, but also sit alongside them as they digest the hurt and damage they have undeservedly experienced.” – Foster Parents, LaFiesta and Donna Brown PreviousNext 1234 MAIN MENU * Home * Georgia * Oklahoma * Contact MORE MENU * About Us * Privacy Policy * Careers
