FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY LEADERS
IN THE ITALIAN STEEL INDUSTRY




1878





Birth of the first company operating in the steel busness under Marcora’s name




1908





Giuseppe Marcora reinforced the corporate activity and started producing
cold-drawn and cold-rolled sections.


1931





Supported by his three sons, he expanded the range of products by first
installing two furnaces for steel-casting production and, then a small “ pilgrim
process “ hot-rolling mill for the production of seamless tubes and the
subsequent cold-drawing.




1950





Start-up of a hot-rolling mill for long products.


1995





The company decides to move the old production
site, located in the historical centre of Busto Arsizio, to the current
headquarters in Cuggiono. In this way, an important logistic expansion and a
total renewal installation are carried out, with the simultaneous decision to
deal exclusively with the production of long hot-rolled products.




2020





Thanks to continuos investments aimed at improving production aspects, internal
organization and customer service, Metallurgica Marcora strengthens the european
leadership in the sector of hot rolls, combining new commercial skills and a
management of great experience.
