QUALITY, SPEED, OR COST? WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?

October 21, 2021 · PCB Assembly,Printed Circuit Boards

Quality, Speed, or Cost? Which Is Most Important to You?

We’re sure you’ve heard the saying:

“Quality, Speed, or Cost? Pick two, because you can’t have all three.”

We understand the premise behind this concept of, “You can have a high quality
product and you can get it quickly, but you’re gonna have to pay for it,” or “We
can do it fast and cheap, but don’t expect high quality.”

However, we don’t necessarily agree with it.

Our goal is to truly provide all three: high quality, at a good price, in a
reasonable amount of time. We know we are not the “cheapest” option, but that
doesn’t mean we’re not a good value. We build quality products with great
customer service and our pricing reflects that.

If you want to know how much a printed circuit board assembly actually costs -
and what factors can have an impact on price - download our free guide: “What
Does a Printed Circuit Board Cost? (8 Things that Could Affect the Cost of Your
PCB Assembly)”

We ask ourselves, from time to time, what makes us unique in printed circuit
board assembly? And that question often leads to another:

Why do our customers keep coming back?

One of our greatest assets is our ability to retain customers. We’ve worked with
some of our customers for more than 15 years on multiple projects. What our
customers tell us is that we are not just a manufacturer who produces a product
at a set cost; we are an extension of their business. We are a design team that
offers expertise, opinions, and designs specifically for manufacturability. We
can even help with part obsolescence.

A better question might be, “What is the cost of poor manufacturing?”

Or “What is the cost of not hitting a deadline?” Or even “What’s the cost of
poor customer service?” In our opinion, these things far outweigh the individual
per piece price for a board or box build.

The idea of having to redesign something because it was rushed or the finished
product not turning out exactly as it was intended is implausible for us.
Quality is always our focus, and we don’t let time slip or budgets get out of
hand. That’s just how we do business.

We would love the opportunity to quote your next project.
