(WJAR) — Don’t be shocked if you hear sirens around noon in Providence on
Thursday.

The Providence Emergency Management Agency is testing the emergency siren system
at the Port of Providence.

PEMA is testing the system to make sure it is working properly.

 * ALSO READ: EOHHS Secretary Richard Charest hopes to bring changes and
   innovation to agency

Residents in the surrounding communities may hear the siren, but there is
nothing residents have to do.
