Does that consume and/or hold a floating license? Using xpress version 8.11.3, when I import xpress it appears to connect to the license server. At that moment we don't have a free license and the job fails. Wondering if there is any workaround? Here is what seems to be getting called when I import xpress: File "/app/ -- REDACTED -- .py", line 1, in <module> import xpress as xp File "/usr/local/lib/python3.9/site-packages/xpress/__init__.py", line 256, in <module> libver = getversion() In the traceback I get the following "out of licenses" error message. I'm just surprised that imports can be blocked by licensing issues, prior to calling xp.init() or xp.problem(). xpress.InterfaceError: Xpress licensing error 4: The maximum number of simultaneous uses has been reached. Check that no other copies of FICO Xpress are running, or contact support@fico.com if you would like to add more users to your license. January 3, 2023 at 10:47 PM I am solving a MILP with XPress. Is there a parameter I can set in Xpress to ensure that the output of the solver will be invariant to the order in which the constraints and the objective are specified? For example, suppose I solve a set of MILPs, but those MILPs differ from each other only in the order in which the constraints were added when creating the Xpress model. Strictly speaking, the feasible region and the objective is identical across all those MILPs. I was wondering if there is a parameter setting that forces the optimization output to be the same across all the MILPs?
