Biochemistry Undergraduate Summer Research Experiences

donations42
dollars raised$7.51 k
Our Biochemistry Undergraduate Summer Research Awards don’t just fund student
research — they allow students to be real full-time biochemists. It’s a rare and
invaluable opportunity of experiential learning to see if a career in science is
for them. Our students are vital to the mission of our department and your gift
now continues to help us reach the goals that impact us all. Supporters like you
help us ready our students for successful futures and keep UW–Madison and the
Department of Biochemistry at the forefront of research and education.
Wisconsin Innocence Project

donations46
dollars raised$11 k
Under the supervision of expert attorneys, WIP students investigate and litigate
claims of innocence. Students visit prisons, interview witnesses, consult
forensic experts, draft briefs and argue dispositive motions. In short, WIP
provides students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in each
step of correcting an injustice.

We are a community of designers and builders at UW-Madison within the College of
Engineering. Our makerspace, the Grainger Engineering Design Innovation
Laboratory, includes 25,000 square feet of shop and flex space with a wide range
of rapid prototyping equipment. Largely student run, the makerspace strives to
empower students by creating a community immersed in emerging technologies,
focused on creating innovative products. In addition, faculty and staff
researchers from across the college address pressing needs ranging from novel
designs to validation and analysis to ensure peak performance of these
technologies.
