MARK O'NEILL AND MOAYED HAMZA

Having worked closely together in the biotech space for a number of years, UCD
alumnus and entrepreneur Mark O'Neill and Dr Moayed Hamza are now on a mission
to build an Irish-headquartered, global pharma company with significant impact,
HAON.



ROMY LYNCH

Romy Lynch is a co-founder of the startup Unflow. Launched in 2019, Unflow’s aim
is to make mobile app development smooth and easy using low-code templates for
screens, new features and updates. She graduated from UCD in 2017 with a BE,
specialising in Mechanical Engineering.



CHIAMAKA ONYINYECHUKWU OFOJIMBA

Chiamaka Onyinyechukwu Ofojimba is a first-class honours graduate of BSc in
Microbiology, who graduated third in her class. She also has a Masters Degree in
Biotechnology and is passionate and committed to the world of science and
scientific breakthroughs.

   "I was in terrible pain and the doctor that saw me gave me something and
   within 15 minutes my pain had resolved, and I said to myself 'that is a
   lovely way to spend your life' and at that stage I decided I wanted to be a
   doctor."
   
   🎙️ In the MGA Clinical Influencers podcast, host Prof Patrick Murray is
   joined by a variety of UCD School Of Medicine alumni. Listen as they discuss
   the highlights and challenges of their stellar careers, their University
   College Dublin memories, and their industry expertise.
   
   The final episode of Series 3 features Dr Tomas Neilan, who graduated from
   Medicina at UCD in 2006. Tomas is an Associate Professor of Medicine at
   Harvard Medical School, the Director of the Cardio-Oncology Program and the
   Co-Director of the Cardiac MR PET CT Program.

   cybersecurity squadron... So, I made the decision to pursue a degree by

   University College Dublin has joined forces with over 100 institutions in the
   largest coordinated release of space biology discoveries yet!
   
   Led by UCD's Dr Nicholas Brereton, his team collaborated with Weill Cornell
   Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Caltech, and NASA Ames Research Center to
   explore how spaceflight affects the human body.
   
   Published in Nature Microbiology, the study reveals key shifts linked to
   immune changes in astronauts, setting a critical baseline for aerospace
   medicine.

   "The Alumni Buddy Programme came up and I was instantly intrigued. I thought
   it was great we had one on one interactions and activities in a group setting

   "Mary Ann's partner was over here visiting, so I go to spend a lovely
   afternoon with them and afterwards she asked me to be a bridesmaid at their

   The UCD Alumni Buddy Programme brings together local alumni and incoming
   international students. Its purpose is to provide friendly support to
   students during their stay in Dublin, to help them get to know the local
   community and to take part in a cultural exchange.
