This amazing knockoff GBA SP comes stuffed with software piracy.

I am so torn. The Anbernic RG35XXSP — which I’ve mentioned here before — is a
beaut. I love handhelds, I love emulators, and I’ve got my own Game Boy
cartridges and access to a GB Operator so I can (legally?) back ‘em up.

On the other hand, Anbernic is shipping these with truckloads of pirated ROMs!
Didn’t ask for those; I’d happily buy without.

When the Melee stage select music kicks in...

Time travel back to E3 2001 with this nearly two-hour video of footage from the
show, which we saw thanks to Time Extension. There were tons of games featured
in the video that would go on to become beloved favorites, including Super Smash
Bros. Melee, Rez, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Garmin adds YouTube Music to the mix.

You do need a Music Premium account, but you can download playlists for offline
playback. We love to see Garmin add to the ConnectIQ store, which... let’s face
it, doesn’t have the largest selection as far as third-party smartwatch app
stores go. Previously, you could choose between Spotify, Amazon Music, and
Deezer. (But I’ve yet to meet anyone who used the latter two with the Garmin.)

Google’s AI summaries are coming for the news industry.

We don’t know exactly how often AI Overviews will appear in search, but early
observations point to trouble for publishers.

A Press Gazette experiment found that AI Overviews appeared on nearly a quarter
of top news-related Google searches, pushing down organic results. Some

Bambu Lab has officially recalled 12,800 3D printers.

Remember how the Bambu A1 had a worrying heatbed cable issue, and recalled and
offered refunds for every printer to be safe? The US CPSC has just blessed that
February recall, revealing “all of them” was around 13K printers in total. Bambu
moved quick — in fact, the printer already went back on sale in late April with
a revised cable.

Personally, I prefer the P1 series.

Jackbox parties are about to get a lot easier — at least if you play via Steam.

“Enter The Jackbox Megapicker: a free product exclusive to Steam, where you can
view your game library, sort and filter the games you love, and quickly launch
an evening of fun,” Jackbox Games announced today. Sounds like a handy way to
more easily sift through Jackbox’s 50-plus games.

Threads is going to show live baseball scores.

Following the introduction of live NBA scores, Threads will have live MLB scores
“starting today,” Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced. You can see MLB scores
by searching for a game while it’s happening or within one day of when it ends,
according to spokesperson Alec Booker.

The company plans to “continue expanding live scores to cover more sports and
leagues,” Mosseri said.

‘The general perception is: Adobe is an evil company that will do whatever it

That’s according to internal company messages obtained by Business Insider,
regarding frustration among staffers over how Adobe handled the controversy
surrounding a recent Terms of Service update.

Adobe has since released a blog to address concerns about AI training and
content ownership, but its employees reportedly think greater transparency is
needed.

Insta360 has an updated ‘S’ version of its little vlog camera.

The Insta360 Go 3 was a cute little vlogging cam that was small enough to wear
on a lanyard or attach to a pet’s collar. Now, the new Go 3S model has some
nifty upgrades like 4K video (up from 2.7K), Apple Find My compatibility, and
waterproofing to 33 feet.

The Go 3S starts at $399.99, around the same as the outgoing model.

Find someone who loves you as much as Peloton fans love Peloton.

Popular Peloton instructor Kendall Toole announced today she’s leaving the
platform. Earlier in April, instructor Ross Rayburn announced he was taking a
break. And just last month, CEO Barry McCarthy stepped down amid another round
of layoffs.

Any other company, I’d worry about customers jumping ship. But I spoke with
several Peloton diehards and asked about this exact situation. They told me
they’re not going anywhere.

The Tesla CEO appears heading to victory in today’s shareholder vote over his
enormous pay package. Musk posted two graphs on X last night which showed both
proposals — the one of his compensation, and the other on reincorporating Tesla
in Texas — ahead by wide margins. But the results aren’t final yet, and things

Porsche is Macan friends with ChargePoint.

Porsche EV and PHEV owners can soon use the My Porsche app to pay and charge at
ChargePoint stations in North America. Unfortunately, it’s not a plug and charge
system, but soon the Porsche Charging Service will include “more than 100,000”
stations when the collaboration goes live in Q4 2024 — after the launch of the
new 2025 Porsche Taycan and Macan Electric SUV.
