After many years of hitting a ceiling and experiencing the injustice of intersectionality, in 2018, she founded The Way We Work, a tech enabled Inclusion Strategy management company that provides Inclusion strategy and education for small businesses, government agencies, and higher education institutions. At the core of The Way We Work’s infrastructure, Jessy addresses gaps in an organization’s culture by addressing and helping to implement a strategy that supports the employee life cycle through education, consultation, and strategic planning. Jessy’s greatest endeavors has always been in co-creating Brave Spaces of Intentional Inclusivity and Fierce Belonging through collaborative workshops, community building and hosting Brave Conversations with leaders and employees. Nonetheless, as a business owner, Jessy designed and piloted several leadership coaching programs, around Cultural Intelligence and Diversity and Inclusion as well as her signature CTS Empower program which works with underrepresented employees in career coaching, self-advocacy, and mindset reframing. During her programs, she has guided board members, leaders, and employees from awareness to action. Throughout Jessy’s career, some of her accomplishments include presenting data-rich learnings and consulting as an IDEA Learning Manager and Consultant for the Canadian Center of Diversity and Inclusion, delivering over 100 learnings on various topics related to Diversity and Inclusion, guiding clients from government, non-profit and for profit through engaging deliverables enhancing their internal organizational culture work. As a former National Director of Training and Development, she oversaw the learning journey of over 3000 employees, an on-site facilitators team of 11, and created and oversaw the implementation of over 5 management and line level employee programs. In China, Jessy created Cultural Intelligence and Communications programming for multinationals, especially American firms with teams in China and India, helping teams better communicate and engage effectively and efficiently.
