BIO OF FACILITATOR

Over the last 13 years, Jessy worked diligently with numerous companies to
create organizational learning and development that resulted in increased
capacity, sustainability, and profitability. After many years of hitting a
ceiling and experiencing the injustice of intersectionality, in 2018, she
founded The Way We Work, a tech enabled Inclusion Strategy management company
that provides Inclusion strategy and education for small businesses, government
agencies, and higher education institutions.

At the core of The Way We Work’s infrastructure, Jessy addresses gaps in an
organization’s culture by addressing and helping to implement a strategy that
supports the employee life cycle through education, consultation, and strategic
planning.

Jessy’s greatest endeavors has always been in co-creating Brave Spaces of
Intentional Inclusivity and Fierce Belonging through collaborative workshops,
community building and hosting Brave Conversations with leaders and employees.

Nonetheless, as a business owner, Jessy designed and piloted several leadership
coaching programs, around Cultural Intelligence and Diversity and Inclusion as
well as her signature CTS Empower program which works with underrepresented
employees in career coaching, self-advocacy, and mindset reframing. During her
programs, she has guided board members, leaders, and employees from awareness to
action.

Throughout Jessy’s career, some of her accomplishments include presenting
data-rich learnings and consulting as an IDEA Learning Manager and Consultant
for the Canadian Center of Diversity and Inclusion, delivering over 100
learnings on various topics related to Diversity and Inclusion, guiding clients
from government, non-profit and for profit through engaging deliverables
enhancing their internal organizational culture work.

As a former National Director of Training and Development, she oversaw the
learning journey of over 3000 employees, an on-site facilitators team of 11, and
created and oversaw the implementation of over 5 management and line level
employee programs. In China, Jessy created Cultural Intelligence and
Communications programming for multinationals, especially American firms with
teams in China and India, helping teams better communicate and engage
effectively and efficiently.

To date, Jessy has twenty years of experience from line level to leadership.
Thirteen of those years, she has worked in and around learning and development
with an Inclusive Lens. As an advocate for education, Jessy continues speak at
events and never stops learning, she is now a Qualified Assessor for the
Intercultural Development Inventory and continues to write. She is also actively
involved in the community, where she serves as a community lead for SOGAL
foundation and serves on several nonprofit boards. Jessy makes her home between
Las Vegas and Montreal. Some of her hobbies entail traveling the world,
attending comedy shows, and writing stories for her daughter. Previous clients
include Planned Parenthood Speaks Nevada, Canada Post, NASA, Kids Brain Health
Networks

TESTIMONIALS

She challenged me to think deeper and approach DEI as a global response and not
just an American issue. She has also pushed me to be a better educator and I am
grateful for her enthusiasm and her thought-leadership! Patrice Palmer,
Assistant Dean, College of Business

Jessy is the quintessential EDI professional. Her ability to connect with
learners by connecting her lived experience and storytelling with key learning
points in her training is unparalleled. Mark Peters, Director, Talent and
Culture

If you're reading this and thinking about it do not pass up an opportunity to
learn from Jessy Santana, everything's she does is magic ✨Richard Lopez, Talent
Development Leader

Jessy was a great facilitator of Unconscious Bias training. She was professional
and personable who shared personal experiences as she explained the concepts.
She allowed the space for processing the ideas and also kept the pace moving
quickly and easily. I’m glad to have been a participant in her session. Kristin
Dawson, Trainer, Canada Post
