View Email Online Dear Cristian Arenas, We are writing to the primary contact we have on record to communicate important information relevant to your business relationship with T‑Mobile. You may have seen in the news recently that there was a cyberattack against T-Mobile. Our analysis indicates that unauthorized access to some of your business or personal data may have occurred. We are reaching out to you, as the primary account holder on the account, with the latest information we have on this event. What Happened Approximately ten days ago, we learned of claims made in an online forum that a bad actor had compromised T‑Mobile systems. We immediately began an exhaustive investigation into these claims and brought in a world-leading cybersecurity expert to help with our assessment. We then located and immediately closed the access point that we believe was used to illegally gain entry to our servers. On August 17, 2021, we were able to verify that a subset of T-Mobile data had been accessed by unauthorized individuals. We also began coordination with law enforcement as our forensic investigation continued. Our investigation remains ongoing. What Information Was Involved The exact information accessed varies by business and individual. We have determined that the types of impacted business information for your business include: business name, federal tax ID, business address, contact name, and business phone number. Some personal information, likely provided when your business applied for credit with T-Mobile, may have also been impacted. This may include names, driver’s license numbers, government IDs, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, and phone numbers. We have also determined that IMEI and IMSI numbers may have also been accessed. IMPORTANTLY, we have NO information that indicates, business or personal financial information, payment information, credit or debit card information, account numbers, or account PIN and passwords were accessed. What We Are Doing Based on our current knowledge of data accessed, we do not believe the data stolen can be used for unauthorized access to your T-Mobile business account. To help protect you from identify theft, T-Mobile is offering all impacted customers McAfee ID Protection for 2 years, free. Additionally, our T-Mobile for Business Team of Experts stands at the ready to assist you with any precautionary account changes you may wish to make. Again, we do not believe the data stolen can be used for unauthorized account access. Call 611 or 1‑877‑347‑2127 to reach your T-Mobile for Business Team of Experts. Additional Actions You Can Take We do not believe the data stolen can be used for unauthorized account access. However, the following steps are good precautionary measures the primary account holder(s) assigned to your T-Mobile account(s) may wish to take to add extra security features: * Change your billing account PIN. * Call T-Mobile for Business Team of Experts at 611 or 1‑877‑347‑2127. * Change your online password used to access your T-Mobile account. * Log into your T-Mobile portal and follow the steps to create your new password. * Protect your account from unauthorized ports. * All Business and Government accounts are protected from unauthorized ports automatically by requiring your account PIN to authorize. However, if you’d like to provide additional security to prevent unauthorized porting of your T-Mobile numbers, you may call your T-Mobile for Business Team of Experts at 611 or 1‑877‑347‑2127 to add an additional deterrent to the account. It is always a good idea to remain vigilant against threats of identity theft or fraud, and to regularly review and monitor your account statements and credit history for any signs of unauthorized transactions or activity. Also, it is always a good idea to be alert for “phishing” emails by someone who acts like they know you or are a company that you may do business with and requests sensitive information over email, such as passwords, Social Security numbers, or bank account information. We do not ask for this type of information over email.
