A Dream Home Transformed: A testament to friendship and the expertise of Met
Interior Our journey with Met Interior began when we were searching for an
interior designer (ID) for our previous home. Three months of renovations and
three years of living in our transformed abode, we're not just satisfied
clients, but also friends with Young, our ID from Met Interior. This enduring
relationship is a testament to the friendship we've developed over the years and
the level of understanding we have between us. The transformation of our home
was nothing short of remarkable. If you could compare the original state of the
house to how it looks today, you'd understand the extent of the work that's been
done. For a good portion of the renovation year, it was in a serious state of
disrepair. Young was there to help us all the way, navigating the complexities
of the renovation process amidst the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. One
particular challenge that stood out was extending the plumbing all the way to
the jack-and-jill ensuite. The original bath and toilet were right at the back
of the house, and creating this new bathroom meant having to submit drawings to
the Public Utilities Board (PUB), halting all work while waiting 14 working days
for their response, before we could start laying new sewage pipes. Due to the
distance from the main inspection chamber (I.C.), we also had to build a
secondary I.C., which is now cleverly hidden under our dining table (not that
any of our guests have noticed it yet). From the moment we viewed the unit, we
knew we were in for a complete overhaul. We didn't even bother looking into any
of the seven bedrooms or the toilets. The key question was the definitive width
and length of the house, and whether there were going to be any awkward beams or
pillars in the middle of the walkway. Young's expertise and understanding were
invaluable throughout the process. He was able to help us solve a lot of
problems that we were unaware of, proactively seeking solutions without us
having to worry excessively about issues that arose along the way. His
dedication and design acumen were instrumental in our home being featured in
Vogue magazine, a true testament to the exceptional work of Met Interior.

Young is a great ID who is very responsive. He has great design thinking ability
and is able to incorporate functionality and design seamlessly. He is able to
incorporate our ideas into our dream home! Practical but yet pragmatic! He is
able to work within our budget and provide feasible solutions to trim costs but
yet provide quality finish. He is very responsive and seems to be able to attend
to our needs even though he has a few projects going on at the same time.

cannot express how impressed I am with his professionalism and dedication to his
work. From the very beginning, my husband and I know we found a true gem as

Eric, I cannot commend enough about their utmost professional service and

My renovation with Rebecca, Shawn, and MET was better than I could have
imagined! There will always be unexpected things that turn up during a reno
process, but Rebecca was very good about communicating any pricing or scheduling
changes with me and making sure to get my approval if anything had to change.
She always gave me good information so that I could make informed choices and
was able to help me think up solutions and alternatives. MET's contractors and
partners all did very high quality work and were extremely knowledgable-- if I
was ever unsure about what to choose, they were able to give me comprehensive
pros and cons for all my options. Rebecca's follow up after the flat handover
was also AMAZING. If I found any issues, she would schedule the contractors
would come over as soon as they could to touch up/make repairs. We love our new

Our IDs were Ben and CC, whom were both patient and amicable to work with. CC
has a keen eye for aesthetics and was able to visualise our concept and ideas
effortlessly. Ben was very experienced and knowledgeable about furnishings and
gave us lots of advice on what kind of fittings or materials etc will work or is
not suitable. They managed to abide by our rather tight timeline and are
professional, dependable, and responsive.

The contractors that worked on our home had excellent workmanship, especially
their electricians who were skillful and went out of their way to make sure
everything was done to a high standard. The designers were able to accommodate
our requests as well as any extra modifications needed. However, I felt that the
carpentry workmanship was more clumsy and there were errors that needed repeated
rectifications, and was overall less reliable.

It would be nice if the designers paid more attention to detail, as quite a few
of the measurements were inaccurate which led to noticeable gaps, impractical
organisation/storage, and design flaws. However, it was a pleasant (albeit
stressful, but that's expected!) experience and they did a decent job in giving
our home a new facelift.

Did some research online before deciding on Met Interior.
Plenty of good reviews of this firm.
Was assign to Ben and we got to work straight away.

Mood board and ideas were discussed; specific requests were put forth and the
first designs were out in decent time. Ben accommodated requests for further
changes. Ben was closely involved at every stage from material selection down to
the actual start work and final touches. There was close discussion throughout
the project.

Build quality was excellent with minute details attended to.

Covid added some delay to the project but at completion, it was exactly as what
it was envisioned. Kudos to Ben.

Our ID designer, Ben took over our project after the previous ID designer was
resigned due to personal reason. Taking over a project to work on is a tough and
responsible job to deal with, and I think Ben managed them pretty well. Overall,
our designer is a no-fuss-straight-forward person to get our things done. With
all the ideas and concepts are done accurately on what we proposed on, our first
renovation was a great experience to witness as a new home owner. The workers
and contractors that hired by Ben are very experienced and reliable because
their workmanship was pretty decent quality work, with changes and
rectifications done nicely. Although our Reno works didn't involve many
complicated workflows, the duration of work had saved some time to complete
them. It was very fun to witness the progress each time we got to visit when we
were able
to.
Understand that IDs may have multiple projects on hand, and if I were to mention
one thing to be improved, is the priority managing. As a first time home owner
we do get excited, anxious and frustrated at times when we need our ID to follow
up very closelv especially when it is near deadline of handover for some
incomplete work that might caused delays. But at least to be thankful, some
reassurance from Ben is still able to deliver us a solution.
Lastly, we would like to appreciate the efforts and thanks to Ben for providing
us a very quality service in our first experience of renovation!

I discovered Shawn Tan through numerous positive reviews from his previous
clients on the Qanvast platform. Before my second viewing of the potential house
I wanted to buy, I decided to contact him and invite him to join me for the
viewing. At the time, I had reservations about why he would invest his time with
someone he didn't know, especially considering I might not even buy the house.
Surprisingly, he agreed to accompany me, and that very house is now my home.

Following the viewing, I began working on both the purchase of the flat and
enlisting Shawn to design my house. I must emphasize that Shawn is exceptionally
knowledgeable and full of creative design ideas. His youthful energy and drive
were instrumental in making things happen. I took him to various places to
explore fixtures, lighting, and furniture, and he always adapted to our
schedules and provided valuable input. I'm immensely grateful to have found
someone so committed and accommodating, in stark contrast to the snobbish
designers I've encountered in the past. Additionally, his commitment to
post-sale service is a game-changer. After moving into the house, there were
inevitably some details that needed refinement, and he was incredibly responsive
to my concerns, addressing them promptly by coordinating with his contractors.

I have to commend the outstanding workmanship of the contractors he engaged for
my extensive renovation project on a 40-year-old executive apartment. The result
is a modern, sleek, and comfortable living space. I wholeheartedly recommend
Shawn Tan and his company, MET interior, to anyone in search of a reliable and
exceptional designer who will not disappoint.

We had a very very pleasant experience with MET Interior. Shawn is our ID, was
impressed with him right from our first visit - someone who understand and
deliver.

We like how persistent he is with his design thinking way and logic.

My renovation with Xing Ni from MET Interior was awesome. Although she's new,
she was able to provide excellent service professionally. She took the effort to
design the house based on our requirements and source cheaper alternatives. She
also updates us on the renovation schedule actively and seeks approval prior
execution. Issues found before handover was resolved ASAP without much
