The instructor was very patient in answering my questions. The payroll section

Instructor was well prepared for teaching the class, very professional with the
presentation of materials and knowledgeable of materials presented. Level 1 was
as expected, beginner level but learned a few things despite.

DonaldSage 50 Level 1, Halifax, NS, Sep 2014
The instructor did get ahead of the class but when made aware of it he was very
good at backing it up. Several people near me were not vocal when the fell
behind which made it hard to tell. Overall, the 2 days have been extremely
valuable. I’ve learned a lot that will help me in my job. Overall, I feel the
value of the past 2 days have been excellent.
DaveQuickBooks Level 2, Saskatoon, SK, Aug 2014
Awesome course – So happy that I took it. After working with Sage 50 for 4 years
doing things the long way. This course will simply make my job easier. After I
get back to the office & retain our CMA.
TanyaSage 50 Level 2, Halifax, NS, May 2014
The training is a great help to my current work. I will be able to use and
explore more functions on Excel. Thanks for the additional knowledge on
financial and business concerns. Great job! Please send me a certificate on this
address.
JoyExcel Level 2, Calgary, AB, Mar 2014
I came into class with no expectations. I know very little about Excel. Jeff was
awesome. He was a great answering my questions and helping me figure out where I
was going wrong. Jeff was great by making me understand at a no-knowledge level.
MelodyExcel Level 1, Edmonton, AB, Mar 2014
Jeff is great!! Easy to understand & follow along. Definitely felt at ease with
asking questions & Repeats. Thank you for taking the time after class to figure
out the things I didn’t understand. I would like to mention that there should be
a different class just for Non-profit sector.
NicolaQuickBooks Level 2, Surrey, BC, Mar 2014
Very Good. Would have been better if there were some materials to take away a
manual because if you are not using the feature everyday it will be forgotten.
Possibly provide something or even web references. Jeff did refer some info on
YouTube which were helpful. Jeff was excellent – very friendly and interested in
answering questions. Well worth the cost of the training. Thanks!
RobertSage 50 Level 1&2 Regina, SK, Feb 2014
I enjoyed the course; I think the materials were suited to a basic beginner
using Excel 2010. I enjoyed the macro section as well as the graphs. I create
multiple types of spreadsheets and bookkeeping items and all the review was
applicable to this. I think everyone has different background levels with Excel
skillset and Jeff did a really good job explaining each section, he was patient
and took the time to answer individual questions. I would like to come back for
Level 2 soon. Great intro course for someone in my work or someone who creates
or uses spreadsheets on a regular basis.
Excel Level 1, Calgary, AB, Feb 2014
Always like hearing trainer’s experiences in his or her work to give real
examples. Sometimes a new user can take a long time to find the “simple way”. He
was respectful of questions and always answered with demonstrations. I like to
finish on time, but appreciate taking the time to answer questions. Thanks.
PattyQuickBooks Level 1 & 2, Halifax, NS, Dec 2013
I like how the instructor uses their real like experiences during the class. I
like how the instructor researched questions that he didn’t know the answer
initially. It was a good class.
MayienExcel Level 2, Winnipeg, MB, Nov 2013
Excellent class- Instructor was very motivating & in tune with all students in
different places. Content covered well.
PeggyExcel Level 1, Brampton, ON, Nov 2013
The class was Excellent with lots of helpful tips and hints.
KathyExcel Level 1, Brampton, ON, Nov 2013
Excellent instructor, great Participation. Loved the class. Learned many new
points to apply to daily work. Really enjoyed the class.
MicheleQuickBooks Level 1, Saint John, NB, Nov 2013
Overall, very glad I attended the training class; however, second day was too
fast. The instructor was very helpful and pleasant who knows the QuickBooks
program very well. Very glad I attended this QuickBooks class.
KatherineQuickBooks Level 1, Saint John, NB, Nov 2013
The instructor was great, encouraged class participation. Answered all
questions, gave great examples, I really enjoyed the class. Room was to hot but
the class was informative and her gave lots of tips to take back to the office.
MicheleQuickBooks Level 2, Saint John, NB, Nov 2013
I didn’t figure going through setting up a new company. Thought I was starting a
computer and processing a day’s work. But it was very informative. Thanks!
JoyceSage 50 Level 1, London, ON, Nov 2013
The instructor’s voice was really soothing. I was drowned into this program last
year and have learned a lot from here. The instructor helped me with my problems
specific to my project management. Thanks a lot for the help.
MarilynQuickBooks Level 2, Victoria, BC, Nov 2013
I liked that the instructor was very passionate about the subject he was
teaching. I liked his time management because the class was very intense in the
short amount of time but he was able to cover a lot. He took the time to help
everyone along the way. He was very easy to deal with and very easy to
understand. At times it felt that his explanations were a bit fast, but if
you’re fully paying attention and listening, you wouldn’t be missing much. I
learned a lot in the two days I attended this class and I had zero previous
experience with Sage 50.
JasmineSage 50 Level 1, Saint John, NB, Nov 2013
We spent a lot of time on budgeting, not everyone was getting it. I would have
liked to see different scenarios. More work on setting up spreadsheets/formulas
etc.. There should be more for advanced Excel users in management positions.
DarleneExcel Level 2, Surrey, BC, Oct 2013
I have used QB from 2008, this was a good refresher for me to look into
different features available in new QuickBooks.
KimQuickBooks Level 2, Victoria, BC, October, 2013
My work does not include some of the topics covered, but I knew that coming into
the course. I did get instruction and information in the areas I was looking
for/ expecting. Not a criticism of course – course cannot be all things to all
people. Thank you.
LizQuickBooks Level 1, Burnaby, BC, Oct 2013
Slightly lower level than expecting. Would have preferred a more in depth course
with an instructor who had more hands on daily working knowledge of Sage.
Instructor has a good working knowledge of the functions.
JaneSage 50 Level 2, Burnaby, BC, Oct 2013
In my line of work, I use QuickBooks to input data, all purchases and matching
bank statements to the purchases. My hope for this program was to have a better
understanding of the program I am working with. The course met with my
expectations and allows me less intimidation of the program. Thank you for your
time and effort.
CameronQuickBooks Level 1, Edmonton, AB, Oct 2013
Teaching shortcuts (i.e.: ctrl-a or auto fills) while demonstrating would be
more helpful. Friendly, open instructor. Simplifies things for students who were
having trouble, without being condescending, Knowledge of QuickBooks was great.
I enjoyed the class, didn’t learn as much as I had hoped but his content and
delivery was good.
CindyQuickBooks Level 2, Calgary, AB, Sep 2013
Hard to follow without text book but hands on is always great
KayExcel Level 1, Burlington, ON, Aug 2013
Great class, great instructor, very easy to understand. Step by step.
AndreiQuickBooks Level 1, Ottawa, ON, Aug 2013
Excellent work, I received exactly what I expected at my level of comprehension”
DanExcel Level 1, Ottawa, ON, Aug 2013
Course explanation online should be more detailed. I thought I did not know
enough for level 1 but I did! I still learned a lot of helpful tips, so the day
was not a waste! I will be back for level 2!
GuylaineSage 50 Level 1, Ottawa, ON, Aug 2013
Great overview, could have been less review to start earlier and earlier
(However it is Sage 50 1, so people might not understand) Instructor was very
good. Explained in great detail. Great detail to refresh memory. Enjoyed the
hands on part the most!
MelissaSage 50 Level 1, Ottawa, ON, Aug 2013
The classroom was very hot but overall met my expectations. Instructor was very
knowledgeable and helpful. I will give her a 10 on 10.
KavvishSage 50 Level 2, Regina, SK, Aug 2013
I wish we could have covered more advanced examples but I understand that we
only have so much time to cover specific functions of Excel.
ManonExcel Level 2, Sudbury, ON, Jul 2013
A handout take away would be helpful & basic “How to record a payment” or “how
to set up direct deposits” would be great for level 1. Although, I am leaving
with a much better understanding of the program.
ReneeQuickBooks Level 1, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
I found Level 2 much more appropriate for what I’m doing. I’m leaving with a
much better understanding of how to set up and run payroll.
ReneeQuickBooks Level 2, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
Showing the formulas on the spreadsheets helped allow people to progress at a
faster learning rate.
DuncanExcel Level 1, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
Enjoyed the class. Instructor was interesting and made it relevant to my
business requirements. I would suggest that if someone is booking QB2, it is
verified that they have an understanding of QB1. One class member was not in
QB1, but in QB2 and they left. That class member held things up. I would also
suggest giving the ability to change the mouse to left hand. I ached after using
it right handed for 2 days.
AngelaQuickBooks Level 2, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
When Jeff didn’t know something he found out or admitted he didn’t know. Glad
there were no computer glitches today as Jeff did R8 update to fix the bugs.
AliceExcel Level 1, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
Helpful, liked the chart view. I had had experience so I did know some things.
Nice to learn more and learn how to use it properly.
AliceExcel Level 2, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
Instructor was Knowledgeable & pleasant.
MelanieQuickBooks Level 1, Halifax, NS, Jul 2013
Very good pace – Teacher/Instructor moved quickly and kept you awake
JohnSage 50 Level 2, London, ON, Jul 2013
The instructor was awesome. Very friendly and easy to approach. Did his best to
answer company specific questions and provided a solution to long standing
issues we’ve been having in QB. We only deal with AR side of things therefor the
AP info seems waste of time for us at least those who attended from my company.
JennaQuickBooks Level 2, Burnaby, BC, Jul 2013
Computers could have been better but at least they worked. Class size was on the
large side. The instructor was really helpful and kept class on track, spoke
well and has a sense of humor.
SandyQuickBooks Level 2, Burnaby, BC, Jul 2013
Russell is extremely well organized, very helpful and approachable. He provided
excellent helpful hints and shortcuts, and amused all of my questions. He is an
excellent instructor! I was sad to hear my classes were rescheduled but at least
I was able to take them down the road. Refreshments would have been nice
LynnQuickBooks Level 2, Burnaby, BC, Jul 2013
I feel that Russell offered us a quality course. Provided a variety of options
to get the results one is looking for. He was patient, thorough & engaging.
RachelleExcel Level 2, Burnaby, BC, Jul 2013
The instructor provided good examples of how things could go wrong to help us be
able to trouble shoot. Good class.
TammySage 50 Level 1, Edmonton, AB, June 2013
Course was very detailed and covered a lot of things. Instructor was helpful,
Patient and could help even us “older” users that can remember using carbon
paper on manual type writers. Thank you!
SheilaQuickBooks Level 1, Edmonton, AB, June 2013
Instructor was very patient and personal. Took great effort to satisfy all
questions, struggled a few times to find needed features, but didn’t give up.
JaneExcel Level 1, Regina, SK, Mar 2013
I gained a lot of helpful tools and knowledge through this class and look
forward to level 2.
JenniferExcel Level 1, Ajax, ON, Mar 2013
The course was very informative. In my position, we do not use some functions,
but it was nice to learn what other functions are available. The instructor was
clear, understandable in his voice & instructions.
DaniellaSage 50 Level 1, Winnipeg, MB, Dec 2012
Unfortunately, I should have skipped the first class and went right into level 2
but it was a great refresher. The instructor was thorough and explained things
really well. Looking forward to next class.
CorinaSage 50 Level 1, Winnipeg, MB, Dec 2012
Class was great! I would like to be notified of any upcoming courses as well.
Only suggestion is we spent a lot of time on purchase orders etc… So I felt
rushed when it came to accountants copies. I would have liked more time on
Accountant features.
ErinQuickBooks Level 2, Winnipeg, MB, Dec 2012
Great information. Instructor kept the class moving forward and he covered all
of the topics outlines. Content was more business corporate sector while I am in
a non-profit charity, but can be adapted.
NancyQuickBooks Level 1, Kingston, ON, Dec 2012
My only struggle with the class is that my small business has only 1 employee,
no inventory, etc. so everything taught in the class did not pertain to me
personally otherwise the instructor did a great job. Also, I wish we spent time
on reports and reconciliations.
DanielleSage 50 Level 2, Edmonton, AB, Nov 2012
Thank you for this course. I found it challenging through provoking and
enlightening. I received many tips that I will use in my business.
MaureenQuickBooks Level 2, Edmonton, AB, Nov 2012
This was a great class but I should have gone right to QB level 2 – My bad! The
instructor was wonderful- very encouraging on asking questions which helped many
trying students. Very Knowledgeable and friendly. All in all it was worth the 4
hour drive and getting up at 4 am.
AlishaQuickBooks Level 1, Edmonton, AB, Nov 2012
The instructor was a very knowledgeable instructor. He was approachable and
answered all questions that were asked. Always went to the person to help them.
Much, much better than the previous class that I had taken. Easy to understand
and approach.
TeriExcel Level 1 class, Edmonton, AB, Nov 2012
Course was very helpful with the navigation of the software. Spent a little too
much time on certain criteria that was no use to me because we already had other
resources for our payroll and our point of sale software looks after our
inventory.
JeremyQuickBooks Level 2, Halifax, NS, Nov 2012
We have a program that most of the stuff is done in and then it’s posted to
QuickBooks, so most of the options we not of use to us. I learned a few things
like payroll, it was nice to learn but we don’t use most of it. All accounting
reports mostly are my side of this program. Thanks.
CarlaQuickBooks Level 2, Halifax, NS, Nov 28, 2012
Thanks to the instructor. I learned a lot from the course and I’ve been using
Sage 50 for quite some time.
TannisSage 50 Level 2, Halifax, NS, Nov 2012
Instructor slowed down when requested & watched to ensure the group was staying
on track.
KarenExcel Level 1, Peterborough, ON, Sep 2012
I am a new learner to Excel, what I learned today has already taught me many
useful things I can take back to my workplace. The instructor was great and very
helpful with his students.
KellyExcel Level 1, Victoria, BC, Sep 2012
Found it was great to have a computer to follow along with. I took the course a
few years ago in Vancouver and you didn’t have computers and you had more
students per class.
LindaQuickBooks Level 1, Victoria, BC, Sep 2012
Level one was a good introductory class. It moved at a good pace allowing
adequate time for thorough discussion of each aspect of the software as well as
answering any questions that came up. I especially liked the ability to have
access to the internet so if I was already familiar with a function that was
being discussed. I could access my e-mails and business documents on line. The
instructor was very helpful in addressing questions at lunch and at breaks and
further explained alternative ways of processing things specific to my business.
I thoroughly enjoyed the class and look forward to level 2 tomorrow!
KellySage 50 Level 1, Regina, SK, Aug 2012
Instructor is knowledgeable in the material and is very experienced in the
presentation. She was very confident and easy to follow.
WilfredSage 50 Level 1, Regina, SK, Aug 2012
It was a good general over view. The short cut keys were a new thing for me. I
know only the tab key. Payroll review was fun as I never used the features! So
easy.
AlanaQuickBooks Level 2, Regina, SK, Aug 2012
The instructor was good. It was a very interactive class. He was focused on
student needs and questions. He dealt with specific questions and concerns. He
took a very practical approach, clear instructor. He was able to provide “tricks
and practical tips”
VivianeQuickBooks Level 2, Mississauga, ON, May 2012
The instructor encouraged questions and participation. She called us all by our
names. I didn’t know inventory very well and it was something I needed. The
instructor went at a good pace.
ArdithQuickBooks Level 2, Mississauga, ON, May 2012
Classes were very helpful to our family business. The instructor was excellent
and very patient with our questions and concerns.
KenQuickBooks Level 2, Chatham, ON, Apr 2012
I found I learned a lot with QuickBooks Level 2 that pertains to my everyday
work. The instructor went into depth with her presentation and explained
questions in detail. I would highly recommend the instructor as a trainer as she
has been a pleasure ti have teaching me the last few days.
ElizabethQuickBooks Level 2, Kingston, ON, Mar 2012
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. I have never been to a class where I actually
enjoyed, stayed awake and taught in a very long time. The instructor was a very
entertaining, funny, educated, smart, happy, helpful instruction. I enjoyed
every minute of this class. I hope if I ever attend another course threw Crystal
Training, I am lucky enough to have this instructor again. It’s such a joy going
to spend a day learning something new. Not only did I learn I had an enjoyable
time doing it. Thanks.
JayleneQuickBooks Level 1, Kingston, ON, Mar 2012
Obviously not every type of business can be addressed in class so I did
appreciate instructors “side bars” of things relevant to specific companies – in
my case construction. Well worth the time! Thank you.
WarnaQuickBooks Level 1, Ottawa, ON, Sep 2011
Thank you for helping me learn about QuickBooks and your willingness to help me
with my problems.
RoseQuickBooks Level 1 & 2, Markham, ON, Aug 2011
Great work! It was very informative and helpful. My only suggestion would be to
make the screen longer. Thank you for your time!
LeighQuickBooks Level 1, Markham, ON Jul 2011
Do not regret spending two days, learned a lot. The instructor was very
informative and extremely patient. Well worth the time from the office.
SueQuickBooks Level 1, Pickering, ON, May 2011
It was a very basic course, I should have signed up for the second level, but it
went well. Questions were welcome and answered, explanations and details were
given when requested/required. And I certainly know more than when I got here
this morning. Thank you!
