The Mission of Shakopee Volleyball

The Shakopee Volleyball Program exists to promote competitive high school
volleyball opportunities for girls attending Shakopee Schools. While
participating at a high level on the court, we strive to have fun and work hard
together to perform our best. We hope to grow as student-athletes, coaches, and
supporters on and off the court learning life-long skills, and creating fond
memories. By demonstrating our love for the game, we will show good
sportspersonship and make our school and community proud.

2021 Shakopee Volleyball Captains Announced

It is with great honor that I introduce the 2021 Shakopee Volleyball Captains.
Congratulations to Maddie Lipetzky and Emma Horning who will serve as our
program representatives this year.

Our program was in great hands no matter the results as everyone that applied
for captain are and will be great leaders. Lisa and I were very impressed with
each candidate during the interview process as they expressed themselves so well
and demonstrated maturity, selflessness and motivation for the year to come.
They will all be counted on to provide those skills and attitudes during the
season.

Thank you to the voters for being aware of the candidates over the last couple
weeks and seeking to learn about them as you determined your vote. Every
candidate was well-represented in the results.

New Class System and New Sections Announced by MSHSL

Volleyball is moving from a three to four class system (like basketball) for the
2021-2022 season. Shakopee will be in the highest enrollment class (AAAA) and
will remain in section 2. There will only be 7 teams in the section (Shakopee,
Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Waconia and Prior Lake).

Maddie Lipetzky 1st Team All-State!!

Junior Middle Blocker, Maddie Lipetzky, was honored for her on-court efforts
this shortened season as a member of the 1st team all-state list. Lipetzky
becomes just the 10th Shakopee recipient of this honor and just the third
non-senior. To see all of the nominated players use the YouTube link below. This
video also announces the top annual volleyball award known as Ms. Baden, which
goes to the senior with the most illustrious high school career. Congratulations
Maddie!
