An IEOM award nominee

 * Must be a member of IEOM Society International.
 * Has demonstrated a significant contribution towards IEOM Society’s
   activities.
 * Has contributed significantly in the industrial engineering and operations
   management profession.

Eligibility and Nominations

 * IEOM Society International Awards are selected by the Awards Selection
   committee.
 * The Awards are presented at the discretion of the Awards Selection Committee.
 * The Awards will be presented at any of major IEOM Society International
   events.
 * Board of Directors and members of selection committee are not eligible to be
   nominated.
 * An individual (member or non-member of IEOM Society International) may
   participate as sponsor or cosponsor for a maximum of three award nominations
   in any calendar year.
 * Only applications that are completed and submitted in their entirety by the
   posted deadline will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. Adherence to the
   posted deadlines will be strictly followed.

Nomination packets shall consist of

 * Proof of IEOM membership
 * a completed nomination form.
 * a statement of the candidate’s qualifications for the award, Identification
   of the specific work on which the nomination is based and an evaluation and
   appraisal of the nominee’s accomplishments, particularly the work to be
   recognized by the award in question, are of great importance.
 * a supporting letter that support the substance of the nomination This letter
   should contain factual information not provided elsewhere in the nomination.
 * Attachment of nominee’s CV that highlights relevant publications, patents,
   important honors, and key accomplishments that are pertinent to the award in
   question.

Renomination(s)

 * Renomination of candidates is encouraged; nominations for IEOM Society
   International Awards are not extended automatically. It is highly
   recommended, but not required, that the contents of the nomination package
   and of the supporting letters be updated annually to be competitive; at
   minimum, however, the nomination form and supporting letters must have
   current dates.

IEOM FREDERICK WINSLOW TAYLOR AWARD

The IEOM Frederick Winslow Taylor Award is the highest and most prestigious
award annually presented to one member of the Industrial Engineering and
Operations Management Society International at the society’s annual
international conference. This award recognizes IEOM members who have
distinguished themselves by their long and exemplary dedication and

HAMID R. PARSAEI GLOBAL DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR AWARD

The IEOM Hamid R. Parsaei Global Distinguished Educator Award recognizes
industrial engineering and operations management educators who has significantly
contributed to the field through publication of books, articles in the peer
reviewed journals, extramurally funded research, creative teaching methods, and 
developing teaching aides including software and other innovative methods.  The
nominee is expected to have administrative experience in academic institution of

AMATROL INNOVATION AND CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AWARD

The IEOM Amatrol Innovation and Curriculum Development Award recognizes faculty
who are improving the quality of education by developing and introducing new
course materials and creative instructional methods to convey and deliver
industrial engineering and operations management subjects.  It is open to
full-time faculty of any rank who have implemented an innovation in their course
and documented achieved outcomes through quantitative assessment methods. 
Preference will be given to innovative instructional methods which have

IEOM Lifetime Achievement Award

It is the most prestigious recognition awarded by the IEOM Society
International. This award seeks to honor an individual from academia or from
industry who has devoted entire career to the improvement of Industrial
Engineering and Operations Management profession. The individual’s dedication to
the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management profession has made
significant impact on the advancement of either classroom teaching and/or
fundamental and applied research in the field.

IEOM Global Diversity Award

Equality, diversity and inclusion are concepts which are fast becoming part of
success of an institute. We believe that by both promoting these core values,
and acknowledging those institutions who go the extra mile to ensure a fair
playing field for all, we can help advance the diversity agenda so that all
members of the community feel they each have an equal stake in wider society.
This award recipient can be an academic department, an industry, or an
organization.

IEOM Spirit / Innovation Award

In Recognition and Appreciation of the Continued Support, Encouragement and
Nurturing for Innovation and Commercialization. This award honors the person or
company who create products to solve real-world problems of the 21st century,
especially in the field of industrial engineering and operations management.

IEOM Global Manufacturing Award

This award recognizes companies and individuals who can demonstrate that they
are world class when it comes to driving innovation, operational efficiency,
customer value, the use of advanced digital technologies, and employee
engagement. The recipients lay the groundwork for a new era of greater
productivity in manufacturing.

IEOM STEM Award

The STEM Award recognizes excellence and innovation in the field of STEM
education at the primary, middle and high school levels, with winners selected
from each level. Each level is evaluated based on the use of Curriculum
fostering basic industrial engineering and operations management knowledge,
Collaboration, Design, Problem Solving and the STEM Experiences offered.

IEOM Distinguished Educator Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions for their outstanding lifelong
contribution, dedication, support, and services in education in the profession
of industrial engineering and operations management profession. The honoree
engages teaching in greater innovation around industrial engineering and
operations management subject lines and can be lead to new opportunities in K-12
classrooms.

Distinguished Professor Award

It recognizes individuals that have demonstrated exemplary performance in
research, teaching, creative activities and/or service with a national or
international reputation in the Industrial engineering and operations management
profession.

IEOM Distinguished Industry Achievement Award

The IEOM Distinguished Industry Achievement Award recognizes outstanding
achievements in supporting growth and transformation of the profession of
industrial engineering and operations management.


IEOM Distinguished Service Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions who have distinguished themselves
through lifelong professional support and services in the profession of
industrial engineering and operations management. This award celebrates
individuals who epitomize the profession’s highest standards. The honorees focus
attention on the exemplary, and by doing so, elevate the profession overall and
establishes a high standard of excellence.

IEOM Outstanding Researcher Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions who have distinguished themselves
through exceptional research contribution and achievements in the field of
industrial engineering and operations management. In selecting the award
winners, careful consideration is given to the fundamental insights, industrial
relevance, technical difficulty, communications and high impact publications.

IEOM Rising Star Award

It recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding promise for
contributions to the Industrial engineering and operations management fields.
The person has a great talent potential to make difference in the society and
has demonstrated during the early part of her or his career.

IEOM Outstanding Teaching Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions who have distinguished themselves
through exceptional teaching and learning in the field of industrial engineering
and operations management. This award program honors exceptional instructors in
the university classroom. The recipient stimulates intellectual curiosity in
students; demonstrates commitment to student learning as teacher, role model, or
positive influence on career development of students; and reflects on past
teaching experience to improve current practice.

IEOM Industry 4.0 / Industry Solutions Award

In Recognition and Appreciation of Outstanding Achievements, Dedication and
Leadership in Industry Practices and Service & Support in Industrial Engineering
and Operations Management Profession. The honoree as individuals or as a company
have unique ability to solve unique challenges such as reducing maintenance,
improving safety, saving energy and lowering operations cost.

IEOM Global Engineering Education Award

In Recognition and Appreciation of Outstanding Achievements, Service and
Dedication in Global Engineering Education in Industrial Engineering and
Operations Management Profession. The recipient engineering faculty has
demonstrated an ability to link engineering education with utmost professional
practice.

IEOM Woman in Industry and Academia (WIIA) Award

In Recognition and Appreciation of Outstanding Service in the Women in Industry
and Academia (WIIA) in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management
Profession. The objective of this award program is to honor significant
accomplishments by women who have stimulated or fostered industrial engineering
and operations management profession and have promoted their professional
developments most outstanding ways.

IEOM Outstanding Track Chair Award

The IEOM Outstanding Track Chair Award recognizes outstanding support and
service for the leadership in managing all activities for the track. The
recipient has consistently proven to be exemplary amongst the industrial
engineering and operations management community in teaching as well as in
research. This individual goes above and beyond the expectations of academic and
research excellence.


IEOM Ambassador Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions for their outstanding support and
encouragement to promote IEOM initiatives. The Ambassador award is given to the
individuals for advocacy, communication, outreach, policy making, and
immeasurably aiding the advancement of industrial engineering and operations
management fields.

IEOM Outstanding Services Award

It recognizes an individual’s contributions for their outstanding support and
services in the profession of industrial engineering and operations management.
This award recipients have sustained excellent job performance and contributed
to the IEOM community in any of its major projects and program developments more
efficiently with better services.

IEOM Outstanding Student Award

The IEOM Outstanding Student Award recognizes outstanding achievements in the
field of industrial engineering and operations management. The outstanding
student not only exhibits academic excellence but also serves IEOM Society
International as an example to fulfil its mission. The recipient student has
excelled in the classroom and beyond, whether it is through academic performance
in the field of IEOM, research or community services.

IEOM Student Chapter Awards

The IEOM Student Chapters will receive special recognition on the basis of their
programs and activities as described in the student chapter reports. Awards are
classified as Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Chapters that do not qualify for
either of these awards will receive a certificate of achievements for
satisfactory performance.

IEOM Professional Chapter Awards

The IEOM Professional Chapters will receive special recognition on the basis of
their programs and activities as described in the professional chapter reports.
Awards are classified as Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Chapters that do not
qualify for either of these awards will receive a certificate of achievements
for satisfactory performance.

Student Paper Competition Winner Awards

The IEOM Student Paper Competition will recognize outstanding papers in the
field of industrial engineering and operations management written by student(s).

 * Undergraduate Student Paper Competition Award: The IEOM Undergraduate Student
   Paper competition Award recognizes outstanding papers written by
   undergraduate students in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations
   Management.
 * Graduate Student Paper Competition Award: The IEOM Graduate Student Paper
   competition Award recognizes outstanding papers written by graduate students
   in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
 * Senior Design Project Competition Award: The IEOM Senior Design Project
   Competition Award recognizes outstanding senior design project/ final year
   project in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
 * Doctoral Dissertation Award: The IEOM Best Dissertation Award recognizes
   outstanding doctoral dissertation in the field of Industrial Engineering and
   Operations Management.
 * Masters Thesis Competition Award: The IEOM Masters Thesis Award recognizes
   outstanding Masters thesis in the field of Industrial Engineering and
   Operations Management.
 * Undergraduate Research Presentation Competition Award: The IEOM Undergraduate
   Research Presentation Competition Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate
   research presentation in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations
   Management.
 * High School STEM Project Competition Award: The IEOM High School STEM Project
   Competition Award recognizes outstanding STEM projects presented by High
   School students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and
   mathematics.
 * Simulation Competition Award: The IEOM Simulation Competition Award
   recognizes outstanding simulation projects in the field of Industrial
   Engineering and Operations Management.
 * Supply Chain and Logistics Competition Award: The IEOM Supply Chain and
   Logistics Competition Award recognizes outstanding best practices on supply
   chain and logisitcs.
 * Lean Six Sigma Competition Award: The IEOM Lean Six Sigma Competition Award
   recognizes outstanding best practices using lean and six  sigma.
 * Best Poster Award: The IEOM Best Poster Awards recognize the best poster
   presentations at the IEOM Conference.

BEST TRACK PAPER AWARDS

Best paper award recognizes outstanding paper for each track. Track chairs will
nominate the best papers that pertain to the practice and/or theory in their
tracks.  There is no limit on the number of papers that a track chair can
nominate; the only requirement is that the track chair must consider the
paper(s) deserving of consideration for the Best Paper Award. The Award
coordinator will carefully review the candidate papers and decide the winner.
