SEWELL COMMEMORATES 59TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BOMBING OF THE 16TH STREET BAPTIST CHURCH, HONORS THE FOUR LITTLE GIRLS Congresswoman Terri Sewell spoke on the House Floor to commemorate the 59th anniversary of the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham. The racially-motivated attack, which occurred on September 15, 1963, killed four little girls: Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Morris Wesley. WATCH * WATCH: REP.
