Suara Anak (Children's Voice) is an initiative dedicated to amplifying children's voices in education through research “with and by” children. We work to ensure children have a space to share their ideas and experiences, and that those ideas are heard and valued. Learn More About Us WHY CHILDREN’S VOICES MATTER IN EDUCATION? Education is a big part of a child's life! When children have a chance to share their ideas and experiences in the classroom, it makes learning more fun and effective for everyone. Here's why listening to children matters: Better learning When children feel their voices are valued, they're more engaged in learning. This can lead to a deeper understanding of subjects and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Boosted confidence & in charge Giving children a say in their education helps them feel more confident, brave, and responsible for their learning journey. Create a more inclusive education Children can provide insights on educational practices and policies that work best for them. By listening to their voices, educators can create a curriculum that is relevant to their needs, inclusive, and engaging for everyone. Fulfill their rights Children have the right to be heard, not just about their favorite games, but also about every aspect of life that affects them directly or indirectly. "Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously." - United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child Article 12 HOW WE EMPOWER CHILDREN AT SUARA ANAK? At Suara Anak (Children's Voice), we use research "with and by” children to give these young minds the power to be active participants in their learning journey. Here's how this approach helps everyone: Create better research Children can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table, helping adults learn more about how kids learn best. Active learning By doing research, children get to take charge of their learning. They can explore topics they're curious about and share their discoveries. Foster collaboration When children work alongside grown-ups, they can learn from each other and come up with even better ideas!
