Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) is an independent, non-profit,
economic research institution established in 1996 to support economic policy
development. TIPS undertakes quantitative and qualitative research, project
management, dialogue facilitation, capacity building and knowledge sharing. Its
two areas of focus are trade and inclusive industrial policy; and sustainable
development.

The Real Economy Bulletin: The State of Small Business
The REB State of Small Business in South Africa looks at the contribution of
small businesses to the economy: 2023 is now out.

The Real Economy Bulletin: Provincial Review
The REB Provincial Review analyses developments in the real economy at the
provincial level: 2022 is now out.

Green Economy Bulletin 
The Green Economy Bulletin provides an overview of South Africa’s progress in
creating a sustainable, low-carbon economy. GEC 2022 is now out.

TIPS FDI Tracker
The FDI Tracker monitors inward foreign direct investment. Second Quarter 2024
is now out.

TIPS Export Tracker
The Export Tracker provides updates on export trends.
