MARCH 24

SING A SONG

I'M VERY GOOD AT LOSING THINGS

I'm very good at losing things,
Especially things in twos.
Like socks and gloves and mittens,
And even boots and shoes.
There's always one - that seems to stay.
And always one - that hides away!

WATCH

The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats

TRY THIS

The theme for March is SEASONS. When it is cold in the winter, we wear mittens
to keep our hands warm. Help your child trace the hands of family members to
make the outline of mittens. Color them all different colors!

READ A BOOK

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book
collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from!
Find nearby libraries.

 * Shanté Keys and the New Year's Peas by Gail Piernas-Davenport; illustrated by
   Marion Eldridge
 * Squirrel's New Year's Resolution by Pat Miller; illustrated by Kathi Ember
   Shanté

EXPLORE MORE

See the March Activity Calendar for many more fun, educational activities you
and your child can do anytime!

 * Phonics Fun: Rhymes with Socks
 * After reading The Mitten by Jan Brett, explore these activities from
   Enchanted Learning.
