WELCOME TO THE CORNWALL SCHOOLS' WELLBEING WEBSITE

Headstart Kernow offers training courses and events, information, signposting,
resources and more to help build resilience and mental wellbeing for children
and young people.

Join the Cornwall Wellbeing Hub, a free Cornwall-wide online network for schools
and settings to support staff, governors and those supporting C&YP wellbeing.

The School Support section highlights information for all schools and settings.
Our new section for the Whole School Approach features useful tools and
resources.

The Learning section contains reports about the effectiveness of HeadStart
interventions, new engagement tools and research methods.

The Digital Resilience Tool is a practical way for professionals to assess young
people’s online behaviour and help them make decisions about whether that
behaviour represents risk of harm. It's free and the training is CPD accredited.

The Virtual Ring Binder is a compilation of organisations that offer support for
children and young people, parents, carers and families as well as education
professionals. Parents and carers can explore further information about courses,
activities and resources.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT HEADSTART KERNOW

About the Brilliant ME! journal:

They have been absolutely amazing and really helped the children who I work
with. It’s been a great tool to work with children in school and for them to
take home and work with their parents. One of the girls told me she had been
anxious at the weekend and completed some of the activities which helped her.

Primary school pastoral support

My daughter picked up the ‘my brilliant place to be me’ from the library and she
really  loves it! She has been writing in her book pretty much every day! A
great resource. Well done.

Parent

“The course was fantastic, thought provoking & the content was ace …great at
personalising to settings we had come from. I am full of ideas and want to share
with colleagues

“I found the concept of feeling safe vs being safe and the language of safety
really useful. I will teach CYP about EWS and create personal networks”
