CENTRAL ESTIMATE SAYS: TRUST YOUR CONTRACTOR BUT VERIFY THEIR INSURANCE! Most homeowners know that before contracting for a repair or construction project they should obtain 3 bids and verify the selected contractor's insurance. In most cases, this does not happen. Especially for smaller jobs it is often difficult to get contractors to even look at the work if they know that multiple bids are being solicited. When the homeowner does select a contractor, they often feel that it would be detrimental to their ongoing contractor relationship to ask for proof of insurance. This website hopes to address the insurance verification issue by providing a searchable online source for contractor insurance information. Contractors voluntarily have their insurance agents send a Certificate of Liability Insurance to Central Estimate and we post the relevant coverage.
