Do note, however, that if you are working on a Windows PC or an Apple Mac and are restricted from downloading the Citrix Receiver software, you will still be able to use the myAllenOvery.net service, but with slight limitations (see myAllenOvery.net service (without Citrix Receiver installed)). A&O CORPORATE LAPTOP * Citrix Receiver software is already installed; there is no requirement to download anything. * If, however, you see a prompt to update Citrix Receiver software after signing in, you should select to Log On and not perform the update. * You will be able to start using myAllenOvery.net by typing 'www.myallenovery.net' into your Internet Browser, completing the Sign in information and then launching the relevant application(s). PC USING WINDOWS * Download of Citrix Receiver software is required for the best working experience of the full myAllenOvery.net service. A prompt for this will appear after signing in if the up-to-date software is not already present on the PC. If you are restricted from downloading it, see myAllenOvery.net service (without Citrix Receiver installed). * Once downloaded, you will be able to start using myAllenOvery.net by typing 'www.myallenovery.net' into your Internet Browser, completing the Sign in information and then launching the relevant application(s). * Once you have gained access, if you have not been prompted to do so, it is worthwhile adding 'www.myAllenOvery.net' as a trusted site to enable better management of your myAllenOvery.net working session (see the Global IT Training site for further information). APPLE MAC * Download of Citrix Receiver software is required for the best working experience of the full myAllenOvery.net service. A prompt for this will appear after signing in if the up-to-date software is not already present. If you are restricted from downloading it, see myAllenOvery.net service (without Citrix Receiver installed). * At some point during the set-up process you are likely to be prompted to add 'www.myAllenOvery.net' as a trusted site; doing so will enable better management of your myAllenOvery.net working session. * Once downloaded, you will be able to start using myAllenOvery.net by typing 'www.myallenovery.net' into your Internet Browser, completing the Sign in information and then launching the relevant application(s). MYALLENOVERY.NET SERVICE * Completing the information on the Sign in page will take you to the full myAllenOvery.net service. * This service generally offers full access to your key working applications as you would have if you were logged on at your desk in your office. * If, for any reason, you need to use the system internally - ie where you are already on an A&O network in an A&O office - you should, until further notice, still use www.myOmnia.net. * myAllenOvery.net can be accessed externally but requires the download of Citrix Receiver software for full and expected functionality (see myAllenOvery.net and different devices). * If you are in an environment where you are unable to download the relevant software and you are using a Windows PC or Apple Mac, you should still be able to use the myAllenOvery.net service. General functionality and manageability of your working windows will, however, be slightly restricted (see myAllenOvery.net service (without Citrix Receiver installed)). * You could also consider using the Email Only service if you are unable to download the Citrix Receiver software. MYALLENOVERY.NET SERVICE (WITHOUT CITRIX RECEIVER INSTALLED) * For the best working experience of the full myAllenOvery.net service, you should aim to download the relevant Citrix Receiver software (see myAllenOvery.net and different devices). * If Citrix Receiver software is not detected on your Windows PC or Apple Mac and you are restricted from downloading it, you can select the Log On option without performing the download, but note the next points. * Access without Citrix Receiver software will be slightly restricted â?? local drive access is not available and the availability of certain fonts and the workings of some keyboard shortcuts may be affected. * Once you have completed the Sign in information and clicked your required application, all application windows will launch on one browser tab. * The browser tab can be used as a desktop â?? minimise those windows you do not immediately need and maximise the one you want to currently work with. * When you have finished working, you should ensure you always completely close down your working session. * Further details of how to securely close down your working session are available on the Intranet (see the Global IT Training Site). EMAIL ONLY SERVICE * The Email Only link provided on the Sign in page will take you to Outlook Web Access. * You will have access to your Outlook account and be able to work with your email and calendar. * Virtual filing options are not available with Outlook Web Access and you will need to make specific arrangements to file emails. * Ideally, you should always aim to use the full myAllenOvery.net service rather than the Email Only service (unless you are in an environment where you are unable to download the relevant software or, due to a different working situation, you have been specifically directed otherwise). SIGN IN INFORMATION * Add the same login information to these Sign in boxes as you would when logging on in the office. * In the Passcode field, you should add the relevant information generated by your security token. * If you are uncertain how to use your security token or do not have one, ring the IT Service Desk. WORKING WITH MYALLENOVERY.NET * Before you start working, be sure you are clear how to manage your myAllenOvery.net working session. * You should always completely close down your working session when finished. * Further details of how to securely close down your working session are available on the Intranet (see the Global IT Training Site).
