TOWED VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

* Tow Dolly User's Guide
* All towing is subject to inspection. You will need to contact a U-Haul
location to schedule a vehicle pre-tow inspection prior to the rental.
* Check the vehicle being pulled for oversized tires to ensure that the
vehicle's width does not exceed the tow dolly width capacity.
* Check the vehicle being pulled for running boards to ensure that the
vehicle's width does not exceed the tow dolly width capacity.
* Watch vehicle clearance when loading/unloading.
* The approach angle of our towing equipment is as low, or lower than any other
do-it-yourself towing device available. If the overhang of your vehicle
touches the ramp before your tires, it will be scraped during loading. We
offer this advice to help accommodate low profile vehicles:

Please read it and make your decision on how to proceed. If you decide that
you don't want to make these accommodations, you are assuming responsibility
for any damage that may occur. Or, you may cancel your reservation or return
the equipment unused for a refund.
* It is possible that your vehicle is designed in a way that the tire strap
rubs or puts pressure on the front fascia of the vehicle when the strap is
tightened in the ratchet holder. This can cause damage to your vehicle. If
you see this and it cannot be adjusted so that there is no contact, you will
need to decide prior to transporting your vehicle whether you want to proceed
knowing that the damage will be your responsibility, use alternative straps
that you provide or return the equipment unused for a full refund.
* The height of the bumper stop is 6". If your vehicle fascia is lower than
that, you will probably incur damage during loading and unloading. Our
validation process does not assess your vehicle clearance. If you see that
your vehicle is low, you will need to decide prior to transporting your
vehicle whether you want to proceed knowing that damage will be your
responsibility or return the equipment unused for a full refund.
