WELLNESS

Make sure to schedule an off day from the parks to relax by the pools. Shades of
Green has two active pools to enjoy all the water play you can handle.  The
Magnolia Pool is zero-entry and the nearby hot tub is a great spot for grownups
to relax.  The iconic Mill Pond Pool has a three-level water slide and separate
cushioned splash park, which is perfect for family fun.

Shades of Green makes hosting special occasions easy, affordable and
surprisingly stress-free for eligible guests and sponsors. With more than 15,000
square feet of flexible space, including the 7,500 square-foot Magnolia
Ballroom, garden patio and versatile pre-function and breakout rooms, Shades of
Green can accommodate virtually any meeting and occasion you can imagine.

HISTORY

Shades of Green originally opened as a Disney-owned resort known as the Golf
Resort in December 1973 with 151 rooms. The Golf Resort was located in the
middle of the Palm and Magnolia golf courses. The resort was built of wood and
volcanic rock in the style of a country club. The core building of the resort
was opened in 1971 as a two-story clubhouse for the golf courses and did not
actually have guest rooms.
