Now these colors are challenging to me. I am also leaning towards the neutrals, so this is a stretch. This set and paper is from the Cottage Rose bundle. The designer series paper is gorgeous and has neutral colors. I used the water painters to color in the rose and leaves. A little heat going on here in the PNW along with the rest of the nation calls for some indoor activities to stay cool. Here's another card made using one of the new stamp sets from the annual catalog. This stamp set is called Nature's Prints , I chose to use the new embossing folder called Fern 3D and lightly brushed the white ink across it so you can barely see the ferns. This stamp set is offered in a bundle or separately. By a bundle that means the stamp set and the dies that will cut out all the pieces of the stamp for you. There is also coordinating dsp paper which is a gorgeous meadely of night of navy and crumb cake. Nature's Print bundle - HERE $55.75 Fern 3D - HERE - $ 9.00 By Artchick at 6:54 AM No comments: Email ThisBlogThis!Share to XShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest MONDAY, JULY 25, 2022 TAGS, TAGS AND MORE TAGS! Tags, tags and more tags! I spent last week in Spokane with my bestie and we had a whole lotta time to create! Do you have a scrap bin or basket? Well she took out her bin and she does this often with her scraps, creates grab and go tags for any event that might come up. We used what she had and just created away utilizing punches, random stamp sets and pieces from left over Paper Pumpkins. This would be a great project for your creative classes or a women's retreat, or for yourself! Isn't that mini man's shirt tag cute! So take a look at what you have and make yourself a basket of already made tags for any of your events you can grab and attach to the gift you are taking. This was so much fun! I am loving creating with this set. I promise next week I will be back with some other stamp set. I got out this retired stamp set to use the greeting "pick your potion" for the cauldron I made. To make the cauldron I used one of the circles from the circles framelit sets. If you don't have the circle framelits you can easily use a large circle punch. Cut out your circle and then cut the the top 1/4" off to create the cauldron. To make the legs of the cauldron I used a star punch and cut the points of the star off asa you see in the photo below. The small piece on the right is the piece you need for the legs of the cauldron. The background paper is the new Rustic Harvest. Stamp the witches legs and adhere them with dimensionals. I used Pumpkin Pie ink and a aqua painter to create the warm orange glow behind her legs. The little spider is in the stamp set that I stamped dangling off her boots. This is a very easy card to make. muuuuwahhhhhh...... You can use it sept on thru to november for your card making. I added just a little bit of gold glitter to the hat and boots to level it up. I can't seem to put this set down even though we are in the heat of the summer...... By Artchick at 12:00 AM No comments: Email ThisBlogThis!Share to XShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest TUESDAY, JULY 19, 2022 BEWITCHING Helllloooooo! This canvas was left over from last month's Paper Pumpkin. I had it sitting on my desk wondering what to use it for when all of a sudden I thought, Halloween! I know, I know, it seems early, but with the sets being out in the catalog and things showing up in the stores it makes me want to make some cute things. To get started on this project you need a canvas bag, like I said this is left over from last month's kit, you could always research online for mini canvas bags or look at your local craft store for them. Start by putting a piece of cardboard inside of the canvas bag so that when you go to stamp the image onto the bag you have a solid backing for the image to take clearly. I use StazOn black permanent ink to do this, once the image is stamped it is somewhat faint so I take a fine tip sharpie and outline the image, then I use a regular tip sharpie to fill in all the details to give it a sharp look. Here it is outlined..... and this is it after I color it in with the black sharpie. I used an orange marker to color in her tight and hat. To finish the bag off I tied some fabric around the handle. Fill up your bag with treats and you're ready to gift away! I thought I would share a transformation that we did to our front entrance to our driveway. It has looked bare and in need of some help. I went with a local company that did some work for me a year ago and they do an amazing job. If you are local they are North End Landscape As you can see in the picture above it is a pretty sad looking area....... The week before they came to make the transformation they had me pick out some boulders to go in the space. Once they delivered them and sat them up at the end I was so excited to see that the rock on the right had a heart on it! Unbelievable!! I never saw it when I picked it out, it must have been on the opposite side. How cool is that! This is how it turned out! I was working and came home just as they finished and I literally squealed with delight! So wonderful! Simplistic, natural, low maintenance. LOVE it! they added the boulders, cobble and grasses. Love how welcoming it looks! So if you are local be sure to check out North End Landscape! Goes well with the stamp set Amazing Shillouttes. I used the background paper and added the butterfly from the Amazing Shilloutes set which I stamped and cut out three times. Use stampin dimensionals to add depth to the butterfly. I always keep pieces from all the paper pumpkin kits as you never know when you might use them. The "lovely" is from one of the past pumpkin kits. To step up the card I added some glitter to the butterfly and three irridescent embelishments.
