Maryland won the accolade in 1970-71, while UCLA won the year before.Ī further
indication of the successful frosh campaign was the fact that the 22 wins posted
by Kentucky were the most in recent years for a freshman team. They rolled up a
perfect 22-0 season and gained The Basketball News' vote as the No. Teh News,
basketball's oldest year-around magazine, stated that when Kentucky signed four
members of the 1971 Basketball News 40-man high school All-America squad, it was
expected that the Kittens would be a fantastic team. The Kittens, who
overpowered 22 opponents with balanced scoring for a 32.8 average victory
margin, were selected over Southern California (17-1), Michigan (12-0),
Jacksonville (23-2), and North Carolina State (15-1). The July issue of

if X is somewhere and Y is free and to do so, I remove X from where it is and
add the fact that X is at Y.Īnd now I am stuck: I have no idea how to use this
code now, since at(spare, axle) just says nope, even with tracing. I can remove
a thing X if X is somewhere and to remove it, I remove the fact specifying where
it is and add a fact that it is on the ground. The idea is: I have a flat tire
on the axle and a spare one in the trunk. (I am a rookie in Prolog so maybe that
it is even wrong, if so, please advise me how to correct it.) Put_on(What,
Where) :- at(What, _), free(Where), retract(at(What, _)), assert(at(What,
Where)). Remove(What) :- at(What, _), retract(at(What, _)), assert(at(What,
ground)). So I came up with such a code: at(flat, axle). I can either put
something on the ground or move something from the ground to some free place. My
idea is as follows: assume that I need to replace a flat tire of a car. I
wonder, is it possible to do planning in Prolog using the knowledge base
modified by retract and assert during the runtime?

EASTWARD PLATFORMS

The environment and level designs feel more akin to a Zelda world but with a
touch of modern eastern country look architectures. The lighting of the
environment shines a dim atmosphere highlighting a kinda rustic beauty yet at
the same time a decaying world. And I am happy to say that it was maintained
throughout the game. Directly in your face deal, we get to see many beautiful
pixel arts of the game as presented in the trailers. This is first and foremost
the strongest unique sell point of Eastward. Having said that, here is my review
of Eastward, and hopefully you will be able to understand the answer to the
above question. The answer to this question is yes and no, both from a
simplistic sense of yes, it can be great but at the same time a mild ‘no’ as
many other issues indie titles are facing, Eastward lacks the courage needed to
captivate players and draw them into an immersive experience, whether it be
resources or storytelling confidence. The main question is whether this
independent three-man work stands out from all the other indies or even triple-A
titles out there. The questions come to mind on how the gameplay works and even
what sort of RPG elements is being implemented into the game itself. As I
watched the trailer, I was taken back to the beginning of the Chrono Trigger
funfair scene and the whole nostalgia of my childhood kicked in. Mostly because
of its main art aesthetics, top-down delightful pixel art environments, and
bleak retro-ish soundtrack. When we first covered Eastward trailer presented at
Indie World Showcase 2019, I was intrigued by Eastward. Developed By: Pixpil

JOAN JETT I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL

The song's co-writer, Alan Merrill, died at 69 on March 29, 2020, one of the
first high-profile victims of the coronavirus pandemic.Jett was clearly the star
of the show, but The Blackhearts got their due, entering the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame with her in 2015. I brought together the lettering on the cover, and
there it was." A photo of Jett with her band The Blackhearts appears on the back
cover, but she's all by herself on the front, which is how her subsequent
releases were also packaged. Rock said in a interview, "When I shot that, I
remember seeing her somehow as a female Elvis Presley with that slightly
rockabilly outfit on. Jett didn't have much of a budget, but Rock was friends
with her lawyer and agreed to do it. The album cover was shot by Mick Rock, who
in the 1970's did a lot of work with David Bowie and Lou Reed - he shot the
covers of Reed's albums Transformer and Coney Island Baby, and directed several
of Bowie's videos.Although it is by far her biggest hit, Jett has downplayed it
throughout her career, typically performing it in the middle of sets while using
"Bad Reputation" and "I Hate Myself For Loving You" as bookends. This seems like
a perfect fit for a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance, but when Jett was
inducted in 2015, she didn't play the song.I quickly realized, this song is
gonna follow you, so you're either gonna let it bother you, or you gotta make
peace with it, and feel blessed that you were involved with something that
touched so many people." Everyone knows a song that just makes them feel amazing
and want to jump up and down. In an interview with Mojo magazine January 2008,
Jett looked back on this song: "I think most people who love some kind of rock
'n' roll can relate to it.The color version, now available on YouTube, was
released in 2003 on Jett's Real Wild Child video anthology. The video helped
send the song up the charts and establish an image for Jett as a rough-hewn
rocker. It became a huge hit on the network, which had launched just months
earlier and was becoming a criterion of cool. This black-and-white version stood
out on MTV among far more colorful clips by the likes of the Go-Go's and The J.
Without the color, the clip looked gritty and retro, which is what they were
going for. This was not the rock and roll video they imagined, but when Jett saw
the black-and-white work copy, she loved it. When Jett looked at the edit, the
colors were a mess, with way too much red and mauve in the shots because of poor
fashion choices. In the video Jett wore a red leather outfit to the shoot, which
took place at New York club called Private's with an assortment of fans that
showed up that day forming the crowd. In the US, this was #1 for seven weeks in
1982.They could have made it universal with "put another coin in the jukebox,"
but the band liked dime because it sounded American. The original version
written by The Arrows who were from England, where they don't have dimes, but
instead they would put a sixpenny in the jukebox to buy a song. The line "Put
another dime in the jukebox" was dated by the time Jett released her version, as
very few jukeboxes took dimes. This song helped shape Jett's image as a tough,
confident rock star and became an inspiration to many female musicians. Because
Jett sang about aggressively pursuing the guy, which for many women made this a
female-empowerment anthem. When Jett covered this, however, it became a song
about a girl who notices a guy next to a jukebox and brings him home to have
sex. In the original version, the lyrics are about a guy picking up a young girl
and taking her home, which was fairly typical rock and roll subject
matter. Finally, in 1981, Jett recorded the song with her band The Blackhearts,
resulting in a monster hit. So, in 1979, Jett recorded it with Paul Cook and
Steve Jones of The Sex Pistols and released it as a B-side. She wanted to record
it with The Runaways, but the other members didn't like the song and made the
mistake of passing it up. Jett was touring England as a member of an all teenage
girl group called The Runaways when she discovered this song.It was this show
that Joan Jett saw in 1976, which prompted her to acquire a copy of "I Love Rock
and Roll" and later cover it in 1981, producing what is arguably one of the most
successful covers in rock history. The show's producer was so impressed with
this performance that they were given their own TV show, simply called The
Arrows Show. All was not lost, however, as The Arrows performed this song when
they were guests on the UK TV series Pop 45. The song was released as a B-side
with "Broken Down Heart." The song didn't chart and was banished to obscurity.
This was originally recorded by a British group called The Arrows in 1975, and
it was written by their lead singer Alan Merrill and guitarist Jake Hooker.

KINETEX CORE SHELL

Several core–shell type sorbents (also called pellicular sorbents) were
commercialized in the late 1970s. Therefore, at the time of these advancements
(and arguably even today) core–shell type sorbents offered an ideal compromise
between the capabilities of silica manufacturing technology and those of the
existing liquid chromatographic systems.įigure 1 - SEM and TEM images of Halo® (
Advanced Material Technologies, Wilmington, DE) (left) and Kinetex ® (
Phenomenex, Torrance, CA) (right) particles. However, the capabilities of both
silica manufacturing and LC systems lagged behind the requirements imposed by
smaller particles. While in the late 1960s and early 1970s the most commonly
used sorbent for LC was 10–50 μm irregularly shaped silica, spherical 10-μm
particles were developed in the mid-1970s 5-μm spherical particles were
developed in the ’80s. At the time of these early innovations, it was well
understood that higher performance in LC could be achieved with the use of
smaller particles. The primary drivers for investigating core–shell type
sorbents for LC were improving speed while maintaining or improving performance.
One of the preferred inorganic substances used to prepare the superficially
porous sorbents was silica, which made further chemical modification of the pore
surface, e.g., with C18, relatively straightforward. 2 The network of spaces
between the fused nanoparticles formed the chromatographically active pore
volume. Kirkland prepared what he called superficially porous sorbents by
successively fusing layers of nanometer-sized nonporous inorganic spherical
particles (or nanoparticles) to a 10-μm nonporous solid spherical core. The
major drawbacks of the pellicular sorbents were 1) very limited surface area
manifesting itself as low retention and sample loading capacity, and 2) poor
uniformity and mechanical stability of the porous layer. 1 This layer served as
the chromatographically active surface via chemical modifications such as cation
and anion exchange functionalities. One of the earliest examples of this concept
was the pellicular, or thin-skin, sorbents prepared by Horváth and Lipinski in
the late 1960s, consisting of 30–50 μm, nonporous, solid glass spheres coated
with a 1–2 μm thick layer of porous organic polymer. The concept of
superficially porous or, as they are now commonly referred to, core–shell, HPLC
sorbents was first introduced over 50 years ago.

Considerations for choosing a core–shell column will be given as well. This
article discusses the advantages and history of core–shell particle development.
A chromatographic column packed with core–shell particles offers several
significant advantages over columns packed with fully porous sub-2-μm particles.
Since the introduction of ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) in
2004, one of the most significant technological advancements has been the
introduction of core–shell columns.
