CALS recently observed unexpected activity within our network that disrupted our internet and phone service. Upon learning of the activity, we responded quickly to confirm the security of our systems and to work toward restoring full functionality to our systems as soon as possible. Specifically, we took steps to ensure that all connected systems remain offline while our investigation proceeds and are utilizing workaround procedures during the downtime to enable business efforts to continue. We are working with third-party computer specialists to investigate the source of this activity and to confirm any impact on our systems. Our investigation into the activity causing the network disruption is ongoing. We currently are unaware of any data compromised during this network disruption event. During this downtime, materials are available for check-out, and digital services, such as OverDrive/Libby, Kanopy, and hoopla, can be accessed when not using the CALS network.
