Smartflyer is a proof-of-concept of an electrically driven aircraft for General
Aviation to transport 4 persons. Flying in the smartflyer will be very
comfortable with an extremely low noise level in the cabin. There will be no
need to wear headsets for a normal conversation in the cabin.

Today’s battery capacities are not good enough for extended flights. A range
extender, which is an internal combustion engine who drives a generator charges
the batteries during cruise. The smartflyer will have a range of more than 400
NM (750 km).

ABOUT



smartflyer AG develops an electric aircraft with range extender. The prototype
will take to the air for the first time in 2024 and will be operated purely
electrically in the airport area. This will massively reduce noise emissions.
In cruising flight, a range extender helps to achieve a range of 800 km.
The small combustion engine runs in the optimum range, reducing CO2 emissions by
50%.
