ABOUT US

UNICEF sources, procures and delivers over $7.383 billion annually in supplies
and services that are critical in fulfilling children’s rights. The UNICEF
supply and logistics headquarters in Copenhagen ensures that affordable
life-saving supplies are available in the right quantity and of the right
quality, wherever children are in need. As well as supporting UNICEF’s ongoing
programmatic activities, the Supply function provides rapid supply response to
emergencies. Strategies to achieve results for children focus on influencing
global markets for supplies, product innovation and supply chain strengthening.
Cross-cutting strategies in monitoring, evaluation, partnerships with health and
development organizations, governments and the private sector, and establishing
learning opportunities for staff are also critical areas that enable Supply
Division’s work.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which
it treats its children.” − Nelson Mandela    On #HumanRightsDay, I am sharing
these letters from children around the world urging adults to recognize and
uphold #ChildRights and to work towards a brighter future #ForEveryChild. 🌍
This means no discrimination, always considering the child’s best
interests, and providing the necessary support for their survival,

🌍 Whether in Haiti, Myanmar, the State of Palestine or Sudan, all children
everywhere are afforded the same rights under humanitarian law and must have
equitable access to supplies and services for life-saving relief, early
recovery and long-term development. UNICEF is appealing for US$9.9 billion in
humanitarian funding to support children affected by conflict and crisis in
increasingly volatile world. Read more below 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dBHCyV8p

As we look ahead to 2025, UNICEF’s Humanitarian Action for Children appeal
shows that over 213 million children in 146 countries will need our help due
to conflicts, climate shocks and other crises.    Currently, only 9 per cent
of our humanitarian funding is flexible, which limits our capacity to address
underfunded emergencies. UNICEF is calling for $9.9 billion to support
humanitarian action for children in 2025, to reach 109 million children with
both immediate life-saving services and long-term development. 🌍   Increased
flexible, timely and long-term funding, helps UNICEF reach the world’s most
vulnerable children, wherever they are and when they need it most.

🌍 Last week, the second 2024 Regional Vaccine Procurement Forum (VPF),
co-organized by UNICEF Africa and UNICEF Supply, supported by UNICEF Côte
d'Ivoire, brings together partners and experts from seven West and Central
African countries to exchange insights, successes and lessons learned, to
help strengthen planning and implementation of new vaccine introductions to
ensure continuity within immunization programmes and supply chains. Through
improved forecasting, planning and budgeting, UNICEF and governments are
working to reduce vaccine stockouts, prevent outbreaks and protect children
and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases. #ForEveryChild 🔗 Learn
