>>WHAT IS PERC

The Power Electronics Research Centre (PERC) is a non-profit research entity.

The PERC has been established since November 2000 and approved by the Research
Committee and Faculty of Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University.

The Centre has a comprehensive range of facilities and equipment. The aims of
the Centre are to provide high level of research and development and support
local and overseas industrial work. We provide technical training for local
engineers who work in the field of power electronics. Regular workshops and
conferences are organized by the Centre to foster the exchange of ideas among
various research institutions and power electronics manufacturers.

 * To become the leading power electronics research and development centre in
   Hong Kong.

 * To help local industry improve competitiveness through consultancy services,
   cooperative projects and development of new technologies.
