Our mission is to make Tulsa one of the greatest cities in the world for web
developers.
Out meetups bring together technologists across a number of languages and
disciplines. From back-end web development in a variety of languages to
front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to web-related
disciplines like Data Science and Civic Hacking.

We want our meetups to be considerate, respectful, and collaborative. Please

We'll start the evening at Holberton with introductions of the user groups,
share info for new folks, and play some icebreakers. The intent is to welcome
new people into the Tulsa user groups, talk about the work Techlahoma is doing,
and get to know each other a little better. Around 7:30 we'll migrate next door
to Welltown Brewing to share some refreshments and continue the conversations!

Welcome to Techlahoma Hack Night hosted at 36 Degrees North Basecamp downtown
and organized by Tulsa Web Devs.

July: At this month's Hack Night we're going to work on our pairing skills.
We'll do a basic overview of what pair programming is for those who are new to
the idea and give some tips / structures to play with. Then in pairs/small
groups we'll work on building a simple game.

This will be a monthly event in 2023 on the 4th Tuesday of each month. This year
we're going to pick a project or topic each month to work on together in a
'hackathon' type format. We'll intro the topic, break out to work on it, and
come back together at the end for sharing & Q&A. Pair/mob programming, working
outside your comfort zone, and meeting new people all strongly encouraged, fun
required. If working in groups/pairs isn't your thing you're welcome to play
along on your own or bring your own side project and stay for the good company.

Current planned topics for 2023 :
(Subject to change - We're always taking suggestions!)

language agnostic challenge for folks to tackle in pairs or small groups. If you

and challenge for new folks. If you did attend part 1 in June you can try the
same challenge with a new partner, finish what you started in part 1 or take on
one of the other challenge options we'll provide.

framework, and more specifically at the new Composition API that was added in
Vue3. We'll also explore how Vue's granular reactivity system works. We'll
provide some challenges you can pick from to play with Vue and then share what
we built at the end. We'll give a crash course for those who have never used Vue
before. As usual, pairing strongly encouraged.
