Today we celebrate the accomplishments of Healthy Kids of New Brunswick. This year, @ruhealthykidsnb focused on promoting healthy lifestyles among the youth of New Brunswick, who are disproportionately susceptible to preventable chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Because developing balanced eating and exercise habits from a young age is so valuable in leading a healthy life, the organization members volunteer weekly at Lincoln Elementary School where they provide free fitness workouts and nutrition lessons to the children throughout the year. In the Fall, they also volunteered at the New Brunswick Community Farmers Market to educate children about healthy eating. To learn more, check out @ruhealthykidsnb.
