The nursing department caters for the core business of the institution.


MATERNITY SERVICES

We offer a wide range of maternity services including aspects of Obsterics and
midwifery.


TRAINING SERVICES

The institution carters for training of general nurses, State certified Midwives
and clinical officers.


EMERGENCY SERVICES

The hospital carters for emergencies including accident casualties and
maternity.


ABOUT US


CHITUNGWIZA CENTRAL HOSPITAL IS A GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION LOCATED IN CHITUNGWIZA

 * The hospital was opened in 1984 as a provincial hospital.
 * The hospital was officially opened by the then Prime Minister R.G. Mugabe on
   6th November 1986.
 * Chitungwiza hospital was upgraded to a central hospital in September 2005.
 * The hospital attained ISO (International Organization of Standardization) in
   2008 and retained the certificate to date.
 * It now offers tertiary level of health care delivery services.

A five (5) bedded unit which is well equipped with modern machinery which
include multiparametre monitors, life support units and defibrillators.

The Paediatric ward is divided into two which offers services for Paediatric

Microbiology(Parasitology,Bacteriology), Blood bank and serology.

staff on the selection of the appropriate use of medicines.
