After Freeze Blade stepped in to defend him, Blast Zone was so impressed by his
skill in battle that he introduced him to Master Eon, who invited him to join
the Skylanders. One day, while out setting a new frozen lava speed record, he
came across Blast Zone, who had just been ambushed by some nasty Spell Punks.
But over the years, he learned to fit in with the other fire-like creatures and
even discovered he had a magical ability to ice skate on any surface. Not only
was he the sole one of his kind, it was also incredibly hot and there was no ice
to skate on whatsoever. As it turned out, this was a very difficult adjustment
for Freeze Blade. When he was young, Freeze Blade's family moved from the Frozen
Wastelands of Vesh to the Great Lava Lakes. He's always on the move, not one to
stay in one place for long. Nonetheless, I believe most will reconcile this fact
by creating multiple characters.Īll in all, despite a couple drawbacks, I was
rather surprised by Blade & Soul’s diverse range of customizable options seeing
as that it is a free-to-play MMO.Freeze Blade slides into action without a
thought of his own personal safety. Coming from a background of playing Final
Fantasy XIV, where any one character of any one race can play as any and all
classes, this understandably felt quite restrictive in comparison. Now this
means that someone wanting to play as a Yun could never be a Destroyer, and no
other race but the Lyn can be Summoners, which is a tad disappointing. The only
other class unique to a certain race is Assassin, which is only available to the
Jin. For example, only the Gon have access to the Destroyer class, while the Lyn
are the only race who can choose to be either Summoners or Blade Dancers. This
could be a drawback for many players who wish to play a certain race, only to
find they have limited access to classes. Each race has access to three classes
to choose one from, and some of these are unique to the race themselves. While
this detail was a tad annoying to reconcile with, I eventually made my selection
and moved on to the next part of the character creation.īlade & Soul also
features seven unique classes, and these are Destroyer, Kung Fu Master, Force
Master, Summoner, Blade Dancer, Blade Master, and Assassin. For example, if you
wanted your Lyn to have rabbit-like ears, you would be confined to the option of
having either white or black ears. There were two colors locked specifically to
an ear style, with no way to change it. One thing I noticed while creating my
character, with the Lyn specifically, was that you could not alter the color of
your character’s ears/tail combination. I am probably not alone when I say I
tend to spend an excessive amount of time looking through every customizable
option, trying to find a combination I liked best. There is also a large
collection of sliders to further tweak and adjust aspects of your character’s
appearance, from shoulder width and arm length, to even foot size. On the next
step of character creation, the game presents you with a large collection of
various skin tones, hair styles, hair colors, eye colors, and so on. The Yun are
an entirely-female race with a strong connection to the natural world, while the
Lyn are a small, nimble race with large animal-like ears and tails. The Gon are
a sturdy, physically-powerful people and the Jin, while similar, are slightly
smaller and lithe. First off, the game gives you four different races to choose
from: the Gon, Lyn, Yun, and the Jin. I was pleasantly surprised at the range of
customization Blade & Soul offered for a free MMO. Of course, the first step to
any MMO is character creation. The Korean free-to-play MMO, Blade & Soul, just
saw its western release last month, and I got the chance to give the game a try.

I noticed recently when I was using an old world seed to get some mountain
terrain for my Joust project - I noticed part of why older versions of Minecraft
feel nostalgic is that the whole game is rendered differently, especially the
way distance fog looks.

Still, it's a very popular option with our users. This comes at the cost of
image quality as the imagery in the video is not as sharp as with still
photography in #1. There are also lower hardware requirements as you don't need
a specialized turntable and can get a way with a cheap motorized display stand
(there's a bunch on eBay). The major benefit of 360 product videos is the speed
of image production as it's much faster to record a video vs waiting for the
turntable to finish its stop-motion action as discussed in #1. Let's talk about
360 product photography using video recording, i.e option #2. We see this mostly
used for preserving historical artifacts. This option is very time consuming and
produces mixed results.

The model can be then rendered as a set of images and loaded into WebRotate 360
Product Viewer. The key here is that there's a specialized equipment that can
scan a product using multiple cameras and/or a laser and then a combination of
"scanned" 3D data and photographic images is processed further in 3D software to
produce a photo-realistic 3D model of an object. This method usually involves
some combination of the first three options. It's also one of the services we
offer at WebRotate 360 and it's gaining popularity as more and more companies
start their product design by first creating quality models of their products in
3D. Here's one such example: 360 product view in Blender. Once a 3D model is
created, it's rendered as a sequence of 360-degree images by animating the
rotation of a virtual camera or the object itself. Here a skillful 3D designer
creates a photo-realistic representation of an object in 3D design software by
assembling a 3D product model from a number of polygons, meshes, textures,
materials, etc. The latter is how auto dealerships often produce 360 product
views of their cars. This is where instead of capturing multiple still images
one by one, we record a video of an object as it spins on a turntable or by

the blu-ray quite soon. It did report a few accidents on set when a “live
anaconda” was used, but despite being in the presence of a lethal snake….Lopez
was not swallowed and went on to make her next album (last pun intended)
Anaconda (1997) is worthy of being called a cult classic that has survived the
test of time. Future research on “Anaconda” reveals that despite some of its
negative reviews it did very well at the box office (It pulled in
$136,000,000…damn!!). So there was some decent work that went into this
creature. The snake is part practical effects and part CGI. In fact you date, I
believe I’ve re-watched this film at least 6 times. “Anaconda” may have a slight
layer of cheese attached to it, but it’s still damn fun to watch. To get to the
point, alot of good characters get swallowed, eaten, consumed, and killed (but
not in that order) Their of course is a few great confrontations here and some
tense moments involving a big snake lurking just outside their boat. (Note: got
to love that rather weird accent he fashions in this film) The crew becomes
suspicious and Voight becomes quite the weirdo. Once they pick up Paraguay snake
hunter Paul Sarone (as he is reported) things begin to elevate into the worse.
The film is centered around this team who are determined to document a long lost
tribe known as the Shirishama. Note to viewers, Vouight gets the vote for one of
my favorite film death moments…gulp. This man, Jon Voight plays Paul Serone, a
rather obsessive snake hunter who “really” wants to capture the giant anaconda
rumored to exist within these parts. As they float over the scenic river heading
downstream they pick up a stranded man who has other intentions in mind for the
team. Moving along, the cast has great chemistry as a National Geographic film
crew out on a Amazon rainforest jungle excursion. Note: this African snake
jungle role would surely be bad for those J-lo fancy nails…. This was also the
same year (1997) that she went on to do the movie “ U-Turn” right after.
Jennifer Lopez of course was not to diva level yet taking on the role of Terri
Flores. Directed by Luis Llosa, Anaconda features Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon
Voight, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson, Danny Trejo, Kari Wuhrer and Jonathan Hyde.
The star cast in “Anaconda” reads like a dream list for snake movie makers. FX
was still in it’s infancy and thus highly regarded (especially in the cases in
where they simply worked and didn’t look like the demon from the ending of
Spawn…blahh). This was considered a different time than now as with nowadays you
can throw on the TV and see gigantic CGI dinosaurs roaming around on “Terra
Nova” without a second thought. Special FX were still considered state of the
art and groundbreaking in many respects. The era takes me back a bit from a time
that I happen to know quite well. But if you find that lacking, then you still
get a cool snake film regardless.

Big snake or not, this earlier 1997 film has some real legitimate substance
behind it. If they were to do this film in today’s market, they probably
wouldn’t be able to afford it’s star cast so easily. With an estimated budget of
$45,000,000, this film was not meant to just fall into the normal “pile of the
week” category of releases.Īny intelligent person could deduct that Anaconda
happens to feature a rather stellar cast. Now before we get into the fact that
this is just another big snake movie, it’s probably worth mentioning that it’s
the “better” big snake movie to arrive out of film making. However, I won’t say
that I’m much a big fan of the sequels. While one glance at the name might
invoke the thought of instant cheese, I have to say quite honesty…I enjoy the
sh*t out of this film. A “National Geographic” film crew is taken hostage by an
insane hunter, who takes them along on his quest to capture the world’s largest
– and deadliest – snake.

WYTCHWOOD TROPHIES

Hearthseeds can be crafted anywhere and do not need a crafting table. One item
you should always have on hand during a playthrough is Hearthseeds as these can
be used for fast travel. It is therefore crucial that you always take healing
potions or items with you to boost your health back up as it is inevitable that
you will take damage at some point during a playthrough from the wild critters,
creepy crawlies, and monsters that seek to cause you harm. It is important to
remember that the witch only has three hearts of health which means she can only
take three hits before she dies. NPCs in Wytchwood hold a lot of information and
similar to other RPGs games such as Final Fantasy I or King's Quest it is
essential that you talk to everyone you come across in order to extract it as
each NPC can add a little something to the story or quest that you are on.
Everything else you need to continue collecting as you will most likely need it.
You can stop collecting the common items such as Impeye Nuts, Twigs, Meaty
Morsels, or the items to make jars in Wytchwood once you have a sufficient
supply. Make sure you are continually picking up everything you find in the
world in order to make bigger and better spells later on in the game. There are
nine portals in Wytchwood that you can unlock: Doing this will take on added
importance once you start unlocking bigger parts of the storybook-style map.

Unlocking these waypoints will enable you to easily move between locations to
get more ingredients from all over the world. The popular folklore-ish image of
the witch has her brewing potions in a cauldron over fire.Make sure that
whenever you enter a new area of Wytchwood you prioritize unlocking the
fast-travel portal that is there.

Another shortcoming with Wytchwood is the fact that there is not much, if any,
use of the cauldron or the hut. Essentially, players are sent out on
fetch-quests where they have to gather resources, craft items and accomplish
certain missions to progress in the story.Īs the story moves along, the recipes
and requirements get ever more complicated and the grinding can become a tad
tiresome. The distinctive storybook vibe of the artwork, coupled with a
fairytale-like setting, has a note of comfort in it. In a year filled with grief
and gloom, the world of Wytchwood brings a refreshing bucket load of warmth and
joy with it. Players also have the option to toggle the graphical settings to
suit their setup. The indie game can easily be enjoyed on computers with
lower-end hardware. Wytchwood was played on PC having the following system
specifications: As the game progresses, the recipes for the items become more of
a cascading matter. For others, the player needs equipment such as a capture
net, a pair of shears, and more. Some of the resources can be readily picked up
off the floor. This, in turn, reveals a recipe for crafting the same. Inspecting
creatures reveals their weaknesses - such as traps or potions - and how they can
be collected. The dear old witch has the option to inspect objects around her.
Wytchwood is dictated by lists of objects that are required for action. The
difficulty in Wytchwood does not lie with enemies or threats of action - their
attacks are mostly telegraphed and easily dodgeable. The crux of the game
revolves around the notion of fetching and crafting. If one runs out of any
ingredient, they can quickly teleport to a biome through the dimensional gate
hub. Each biome also provides the players with crafting ingredients that they
must gather. Some are violent towards the protagonist and can be dealt with
craftable items. Different biomes have different unique animals and creatures
living in them.

I think it was the April update that broke my phone app. Phone app not working
for incoming calls. Hi, any idea how to fix this? I just bought this phone but I
