He currently serves as director of the American Woodmark Corp. and Sonneman, and serves on the external advisory board of the Master in Design Engineering Program at Harvard University. Prior to joining The Rug Company, Cogan served more than 30 years as the chairman and CEO of Knoll Inc., an international furniture brand for residential, contract and hospitality interiors, where he helped engineer the sale of Knoll Inc. to Herman Miller in a $1.8 billion transaction.
