(Intermediate level)
Westonka Aquatics *Adventure Club Morning sessions*Six to Eight year old
(Intermediate level)swimmers will swim independently for 30 minute lessonsThis
level is for a swimmer who can submerge their head voluntarily, float on their
front and back unassisted, has an understanding of freestyle with rotary
breathing, and can swim backstroke. Swimmers will learn: freestyle swimming with
rhythmic breathing (10 yards), backstroke (10 yards), fundamentals of elementary
backstroke, introductions to, scissors kick, dolphin kick, breaststroke arms &
kick, and the foundation of diving off the wall. Swimmers will also learn safety
skills like: recognizing an emergency, jumping in water moving to back float for
10 seconds and recovery to standing, gliding on front for (2 yards) roll to back
float (10 secs) then flip to front and continue swimming on front, bobbing to
safety, reaching and throwing for safety, and treading water (30

Westonka Aquatics *Adventure Club Morning sessions*Four to Five year old (Novice
level) swimmers will swim independently for 30 minute lessonsThis level is for
cautious and/or inexperienced swimmers. Swimmers will learn to enter and exit
the water independently, fully submerge their head in the water, be introduced
to the front float and back float with assistance, and demonstrate forward
movement in the water with assistance from a floatation device. Students will
also learn safety skills like: floating and recovering, rolling front to back

is recommended for all children when they reach age three years. It's purpose is
to affirm a child's development and identify any early needs for educational
assistance, and is also a requirement for kindergarten enrollment.

We offer a 4-week class for new parents and their infants 0-12 months where
we'll talk about all the developmental milestones and the joys and concerns of
raising an infant.

Mixed Ages

This category offers classes for children and their families in a wider range of
ages.

More for Three's

this lcass is designed for children and their parents. It is for children who
are almost three years old or who have already turned three but are not yet
ready for preschool.

Older Two's

We offer our two year old's the opportunity to have a child-only day, and for
our two year old's who are older and ready to separate, we have a Two Dayer
class for 33+ months and their caregiver.

We have several family events that allow children of mixed ages and their
families to interact together.

Toddlers

Toddlers are movers and shakers and we offer weekly classes that give them the
opportunity to do so while you learn valuable information how to help your young
learner grow and develop. These are parent-child classes for toddlers ages 13-23
months.

savings account).

TO GET STARTED REGISTERING FOR COURSES ONLINE YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE A
NEW ACCOUNT IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO.

For step-by-step instructions on creating your family account and registering
for classes click on the Sign In button in the top right corner. To best serve
your family, please consider creating a profile for each member of your
household, as this will ensure that you will receive the most up-to-date program
information for each age category. If you already have an account, feel free to
use the Explore button (formerly Browse all programs), or search bar to find the
programming that is right for you.

Please note: An update to the Community Education cancellation policy went into
effect December 2021.

"Unless otherwise noted, refunds, less a $10 processing fee will be provided
when a registration is withdrawn at least three (3) business days prior to the
class start date. After that time, no refunds will be issued. Partial refunds
will be considered if injury or serious illness prevents a student from
participating. Some programs may have a more specific refund policy. If
Community Education needs to cancel a class, you will be contacted and a full
refund will be provided."
