Tides offers grief support to children, teens, and adults who are grieving the
death of a loved one.

Support programs and services


OUR COMMITMENT

Tides is dedicated to providing support programming to children, teens and
adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. We believe that grief is a
natural and normal process that is unique to each person. By offering a
judgement-free and caring environments, Tides helps individuals of all ages
journey through their own individualized healing process. We connect with
individuals who have experienced loss by hosting peer grief support groups,
offering educational and guidance sessions as requested, provide crisis response
support, and offer additional books and resources to provide hope and
encouragement to families.

Laura Leites brings to each and all as a Tides volunteer. Laura has been a
faithful volunteer for many years. She has facilitated teen and adult groups and
always demonstrates her care and concern for each and every member. She is also
a board member and has focused on engaging our volunteers in opportunities to
learn and grow through reading books, engaging in conversations on the
complexities of grief, and offering times for fellowship together. Laura is

Shingletown Rd, State College, PA 16801) Who: Tides participants, board, staff,
volunteers, and supporters Join us at Wasson Farms on May 8 for a delightful
family potluck! This event is open to all Tides participants, volunteers,
friends, and supporters who are eager to share a meal and enjoy some fun
together. While main dishes will be generously provided, we kindly request that
individuals or families contribute by bringing a side dish or dessert to share.
