--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revised & expanded 2nd Edition Rigging Engineering Basics is a practical guide
for Lift Directors, Lift Planners, Rigging Engineers, Site Superintendents,
Field Engineers, Rigging Foremen, Heavy Lift Managers, Heavy Haul Planners,
Crane Operators, and Advanced Riggers. This book is intended to inform people
planning rigging operations and point them in the direction of best practice, to
alert them to pitfalls and how to avoid them, to instruct in how to do certain
basic rigging engineering tasks.

When you pass a construction job site, what do you invariably see?  Crane booms.
When someone wants to illustrate "construction", what type of pictures do they
reach for?  Cranes.  Cranes are the visible indicator of lifting activities.
Lifting is everywhere in construction, everything you remove or add has to be
handled, sometimes multiple times.  Then there is lifting in general industry,
in steel works, in fabrication, in routine handling at docks and so on.  As well
as being universal, lifting is also one of the most hazardous activities
routinely encountered on a construction job.

 * 466 pages
 * 8.5" x 11", softbound
 * Both Metric and Imperial Systems used throughout examples in the text
 * ISBN# 9780692631355

 By popular request, Mr. Anderson has published an amazing companion book,
Rigging Engineering Calculations, a how-to resource for many of the calculations
required in rigging operations. Find it HERE.

RIGGING ENGINEERING BASICS

This is an excellent bae of knowledge, now it did not answer the question I was
hoping to find but it is an excellent book and I am very happy I bought it.

EXCELENT BOOK

It is a very good reference for rigging engineering. I miss only more
information about the cranes operations under Wind forces, calculations and
standards recomendations for.
