Social Engineering Red Flags

PHISHING

Phishing is the most frequently used form of social engineering— and as an
employee, you are an email target!

BEWARE if any of these “phishy” situations arrive in your inbox:
 * The email is unexpected or seems “off”
 * It appears to come from someone in your company, but the “reply to” address
doesn’t match the “from” (hover your mouse over the sender’s name to check)
 * The email asks you to take action—like click a link or download an attachment

Don’t take the bait! NEVER click on a link or download anything from an
unexpected or unusual email. It could give a hacker access to your
organization’s entire system.

Don’t take the bait! Report it to IT instead.
