FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are the most frequently asked questions about GetReminded. If you have any
questions that are not answered here, please get in touch by email or send

WHAT IS GETREMINDED?

GetReminded is 100% FREE to use. Forever.

Use GetReminded to store the expiry dates of service contracts, plans, policies
and documents that you must renew sometime in the future. Users receive in-app
notifications and email reminders before the expiry date. These may include
relevant advertiser offers so you can save money when you renew a contract or
plan.

Download the app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (selected
countries at this stage*) or sign up on the website.

WHAT SORT OF REMINDERS CAN I SETUP?

Reminders include the following:

- Mobile phone plan
- Electricity and gas plans
- Insurance policies [home contents, buildings, car, motorbike & caravan]
- Bills like weekly rent, monthly fees, or quarterly rates
- Vehicle registration and driver licence
- Passport and travel Visa
- Interest-only and Fixed Interest loans
- Buy now, pay later loans
- 0% credit card balance transfer
- Internet and Streaming TV subscription
- App and software subscription
- Personal health annual checkup
- Pet services
- Birthdays and anniversaries


HOW DOES IT WORK?

After setting up your reminders, you will receive a series of in-app
notifications and emails within 60 days* of the expiry date. Alerts may include
relevant advertiser offers, giving you time to shop around so you can make a
more informed purchase decision. This makes it easy to decide what's the best
way to save money right at the time you need to renew the contract or document.
* Except passport reminders where alerts start 8 months before an expiry date
since many countries require 6 months validity to enter.


CAN I USE GETREMINDED IF I DON'T HAVE A FIXED EXPIRY DATE FOR A PARTICULAR
SERVICE?

Yes. You can enter any date that you want and think of it as a 'Review date'
instead of an 'Expiry date'. This basically means you are setting an alert to
check with your service provider that you are still getting the best rate; such
as a home loan, or a subscription that has no fixed end date.


WHY DO I NEED GETREMINDED?

When a service contract expires, such as your mobile phone plan, you may
continue paying for the handset even though it has been 'paid off'. Energy
contracts are also known to default to a higher rate when the original contract
lapses. There are severe financial penalties for a lapsed car rego and driver
licence, whilst no one wants their passport to expire.

GetReminded enables you to stay in control of these documents and save money by
never overpaying again.


HOW DO I RENEW A REMINDER?

Login to your Dashboard, click the 'cog' icon in the top right corner of the
relevant tile, click the 'Edit' option and change the expiry to a new future
date. Also, you can edit the Provider if you have found a better deal elsewhere!

Follow these steps to also delete a reminder if required. As a courtesy, unless
you have updated the expiry date, we will continue to provide reminders based on
the pre-set rollover period.


WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

Your personal information is stored in our secure database and will never be
shared with any third party. GetReminded does not share the user data we collect
with other companies for the purpose of tracking our users across other apps and
websites.

We collect the minimum amount of information required to activate your reminder,
and this is not personally identifiable data (or 'personal information’) as
defined in section 6(1) of the Australian Privacy Act 1988.


WHAT IS OUR 'NO SPAM GUARANTEE'?

GetReminded has a 'No Spam Guarantee'. This means we don't send our registered
users unsolicited communications promoting goods and/or services from unrelated
3rd parties. Instead, you will only receive reminder emails and in-app
notifications during the period before your nominated expiry date. Of course, we
will also send occasional administrative messages about platform updates or
managing your account.
